Greetings!

I am looking for volunteers to help out with the MADC Spring Membership Drive, 2006. Basically, looking for those willing to give some time to promoting not only the Madison Area Disc Club, but disc golf, as well.

The idea being to introduce people to the Madison Area Disc Club. I recently spoke with about 20 would be disc golfers, at Elver, well not having baskets didn't stop them. Anyhow, most of them had not heard of MADC.

So, at a minimum we would like to get them on the dgolfers email list. And, the next step would be for them to join MADC.

How would we go about this:
1. By setting up near the Elver Park Tee Pad #1 and basically talking with people about MADC
2. Offering beginner lessons or "tours" of the course for those new to the area. A number of people I talked with had just moved here either because of a job or they are college students.

That's about it.

The Spring Membership Drive would run through the end of May. I think Saturday afternoons would be the best time to catch the crowd, at Elver.

I was thinking about your plan for the Membership Drive, your ideas are great! The weekend of April 29-30 would be good. I would only be able to be there on Sunday however. I think the idea of a discounted rate for the drive is great incentive to get more people signed up in a short time.
As for Saturdays, that is hit-or-miss for me. I think that is something that may need to be coordinated on a weekly basis depending on what is going on that weekend.

Ok. Sunday afternoons are probably just as busy, as Saturday afternoons.

It doesn't have to be every weekend. Could be every other weekend. Possibly, on a weeknight, as well.
