So it is finally getting warm in Ohio and this concerns me. I usuaully keep my back ups in my trunk, but with the warmer weather I am afraid that my discs might warp. I know a local pro had a whole box of brand new soft plastic warp last year and he hads to give them away, (thats right give not sell). So I am looking for any helpful tips on how to avoid this problem.

the only time that i have discs in the back of my trunk is when i'm in the car driving to a course. other than that i keep my bags in the house. if i am headed to a tournament i'll take a few backups and keep them in the trunk. i never leave my bag or any discs in the car for an extended amount of time i.e. days.

I don't really leave my discs in the car that much, but Im still in high school, so I put my discs in the car in the morning and they sit there for 5 hours before I can take them out. My house it way too far out of the way to my a stop there after school, so I am in a dilema.

If you think it's going to be a problem grab a cooler and an ice pack and you'll be all set. Then you'll be chill'n when you get to the course. How cool is that. :D

I have yet to have any problems in the hot summers of Alabama. I keep my discs vertical in boxes or in racks.
The only time I have ever had a disc warp on me is when I kept one on the floor board of my old truck. The flight plate became concave, but I was able to fix it.

I use a couple of coolers, but I don't try to make it cooler ... they keep my discs from burning up, and I have never had a problem with warpage.

A friend of mine ex wife thru his bag in the back of her hatch in the middle of summer in Vegas. Every disc was warped. The tops sunk in almost to the rim. Heat can reach up around 200 degrees in a car here. What's worse, people leaving there kids in the car and they die.

I keep a box full of discs, all standing vertically, in my trunk. Never had any problems.

Aren't you supposed to leave your kids in the car with the discs so they can keep an eye on them and make sure they don't warp??? End result would be more time to play disc golf, no? :D:D:D

I remember when I was 10, we were visiting relatives in Kansas one summer. We had bought a frisbee - probably a Wham-o Ultimate - and left it on the shelf behind the back seats in the sedan we had rented. It melted down to flat. That's hot!!!
