Secure Rural Schools Land Sales Initiative
to: SRS_Land_Sales@fs.fed.us

the facts are:
The sale of public land is permanent!
Faced with decreased tax revenue the Forest Service does not have enough money to maintain the national forests or the school system. In order to pay for rural schools the administration has proposed the sale of 300,000 acres of national forest. Parcels of your favorite forests may be for sale!!!! It is a bad idea to sell our forests for temporary money problems.

Looks like those rural schools that survive with this funding could have some great courses for EDGE disc golf programs. I wish I could afford a few hundred acres. I'm guessing there will be some sweet property in there for several hundred private disc golf courses to go along with those nice private courses I would guess you're familiar with in Virginia. Thanks for the heads up.

I think he meant for you to be thankful for the opportunity to try and prevent the sales, not thankful for the opportunity to participate in the sales.

Most of the offerings are fairly small parcels (around 40 acres) but quite a few are above 200 acres.

I was, but dropped out.

I would really like to purchase a few hundred acres of Francis Marion National Forest.
