How come DGA, Millenium, and Lightning don't have sponsored players?
I can understand why ching (not enough discs out currently), discwing (new co.), latitude 64 (new co.), wham-o, and aerobie (needs more discs) don't have players.

Aren't Mike Olse and Joel Kelly sponsored by Millenium?

I think Joel Kelly moved to Innova. But there still are a few Millinium players sponsored.

o i guess thats true. i guess since millenium has never really had its own website (they do but not really a good one) i didn't know they had sponsored players.
on the other hand looks as though they are working on a new site http://www.golfdisc.com/# . they split from innova now didn't they?

Not that it matters, but it's miLLeNNium. Steve Brinster, Mitch Mac, and Justin Landers were all sponsered by John at one point in time ;)

Currently Leslie Demmark and Dr. Doug Ertman are sponsored by millenium, innova players are allowed to throw millenium for the most part, also a few swedish players are sponsored by them too.

That's a real good start of players, and I only expect it to get better as people see that their plastic is top-level and Houck starts fishing around.

so i guess then dga and lightning dont have players then?
Or are discraft players allowed to throw dga? since dga and discraft seem to have some kind of business relationship.

I believe DGA is looking into starting a "team" of sponsored players. At least, they were putting together lists of potential candidates when I last talked to my contact over there (he asked me if I knew any good candidates around here). Nothing firm is in place that I've heard of, but it's apparently in their future plans.
Discraft makes discs for DGA, at least the Proline models like Tsunamis and Squalls. I assume Discraft sponsored players are allowed to throw those models. I also assume that DGA sponsored players (when there are some) will be allowed to throw Discraft, at least until DGA has a fuller line of discs.

I can't wait for DGA to put a team out there, then they'll have a choke hold on Disc Golf.

Would that also mean Millennium Team members can throw Innova and vice versa ?

Years ago.......................when I heard of someone being sponsored .......................I thought maybe those players would have their Airline tickets , Rental cars and Hotel rooms paid for !!!!! Not just their entry fee and some plastic !!!!!
Now that's sponsoring !!!!!

Most of the time you don't get entries paid but you do get bonuses. Oh and Millennium players can throw Innova but ai know Olse only throws the Wraith and he will probably replace that with the Teerex as the wraith flips on him every now and then. :D

No like cash for doing well in events. EX if I win a b tier in MPO I get $300. :DIt ia more for bigger events and the bonuses pay deeper. :D

Don't forget that Don Wilcheck was a Team Member until his untimely injury.
