The Skylands Flying Disc Club is thrilled to report that our second 18-hole course in Warwick (NY) has evolved to the point that we now have 18 baskets in the ground!!

Wolfe Woods was designed in honor of consummate adult-child Scott Wolfe, one of the club members most responsible for making Warwick the world-class facility it is today.

It's been a long work-in-progress, but well worth the wait. If you played some of the original 9 Wolfe Woods holes a few years back, you'll be amazed how much better the course is today than it was just 2 years ago.

Wolfe Woods is a great compliment to the very unique Animal course known for its 2 concrete tees and 2 permanent baskets on all 18 holes. Wolfe Woods will have 2 tees on all 18 holes, but just 1 basket per hole (for now). What makes Wolfe Woods challenging yet fun is that the terrain is even more diverse than on the Animal course. It's like 4 different feels all on the same 18 holes. A meandering snake-like creek potentially comes into play on 9 of the holes. The course has cliffs, a "meteor crater", major elevation changes, the creek, a bowl in a meadow, lots of tall grasses, thick woods, stone wall O/B, and will reward the creative thinker and imaginative shot-maker.

The course will continue to evolve over many years, just like the Animal course. We still have work to do getting the tee pads in better shape; have more thinning to do; and on a few holes we still need to carve out some longer tees for the hard-core player. Eventually we'll have a Par of about 60-62 from the long tees.

But most of all, in the spirit of Scott Wolfe, this course is FUN FUN FUN!!!!! As Scott would have said, "WOOHOO!!!!!!"
