Ok, I've just had the WORST buying experience EVER!

Ordered the MSDGC DVD set on 3/9, and it was shipped on 3/10. Unfortunatley they left off the floor I'm on in my office building, and it was returned undeliverable. So I e-mailed them and they sent it out again, wrong address again. This time I e-mailed them & asked if a refund was possible, they said no, I would get my DVDs by the middle of this week. Yesterday came & went & I e-mailed them & gave them a call. In my e-mail I just asked if I could pay for Fed Ex or some other shipping as these aren't getting to me. No response yesterday, then I get a call on my cell at 5:30 AM and it's Jason Southwick from Marshall Street. He says, and I quote:" #$*&$! you, stop f*cking calling me, and stop the bullsh*t" and hangs up! I'm trying to wake up & digest what I just heard, then try to call back & get hung up on twice.

Then I get to work & check my e-mail, and this is what was in there & my e-mail from yesterday to them:

Jason,

If this is not delivered this time & you WON'T
refund my money, then I would request that it be sent
via some method that can be signed for. This through
the regular mail 3 times is definetly for the birds. I
don't have a problem paying a bit extra to make sure
that they actually get to me, and am trying to be
positive about this, but I'm doubtful if I'll even see
the DVDs this month. This has really turned me off to
ordering anything through Marshall Street and I just
want this transaction to be done & over with.

Thank you

Chris

I would think this is an easy request to deal with reasonably and not call & e-mail #$*&$! yous around. They did put the 7th floor required on the 3rd package, but they still returned it undeliverable, which doesn't make sense as I get things delivered here vs. home all the time. Rest assured I will NEVER to business with Marshall Street again.

Addendum to this is I talked to Steven Dodge at the other Marshall Street phone number & he didn't even know what to say about Jason's response to me. He was very helpful & sorry that this experience has turned me off to Marshall Street. He's gonna ship my DVD set to my house.

Well is seems that was handled unprofessionally somewhere. Glad to hear someone helped you out with the order eventually.

That is unfortunate. I have to add my 2 cents though. I have done business with Marshall St. a bunch and have always gotten really good service. I understand your frustration, but, you said the address was correct the third time and it still was returned. That seems like someone elses foul up, not Marshall Streets. That doesn't excuse the comments, but this is only one side of the story.

Sorry to hear about your bad experience,

but Jason and Steve have always done great by me. In fact, I just bought a Chainstar from them on tuesday! These guys are doing wonders for disc golf.

Marshall Street is a very good company and we do a lot of business with them.
Ive always a great conversations with both of them!!!

Sometimes people have bad days( Maybe Jason woke up on the Couch instead of the wrong side of the bed :D),
Other pPlayers shouldnt let one persons bad experience on a transaction carry so much weight for future business with the company!

Jason and Steve, try very hard to promote disc golf in a positive way and are doing some great things, especially in the Northeast!

It sounds like one bad day for Jason and a few mixups with the delivery compnay to me and the fact that you want this video so bad, tells me they have a good product.

I hope you get your DVD, if not maybe it could get sent to a different address or just buy one from Gateway!

Just to make things clear: I can't wait to get the DVDs, and I told Steve that. I've only heard good things about them. Bad day or no bad day, calling someone at 5:30 my time, 6:30 his time, to basically swear at me is unforgiveable. And then to add to it by e-mailing it also? This is supposed to be an actual company, not someone selling discs out of their garage. $1 gets you $5 that this guy also flicks people off when driving and the like. At no time in any of my communications with him was I swearing or even belligerent, so to provoke that kind of response is unreal. Thankfully Steve was vey helpful, and while I will not order directly from them, as long as the MSDGC DVDs are good I'll still buy one next year too.

Actually, it's someone selling discs out of his basement. You do have to go through the garage to get into the basement, though.

Sounds like a shipping nightmare...I used to work in product fulfillment, we shipped 100's of products a day and we would get PLENTY of returns. Thing is half the time the address on the package were good from the git go so we would send it out again to the same address. 9 times out of 10 the package would get delivered successfully after that.

Sorry about your experience but I must tell you the 2005 MSDGC is worth waiting for...it's the best DG video i've ever seen.

To continue to flog the dead horse....

I too have always gotten great service from MSDG. Had people not said it here, I would have though it a normal store with a web presence.

both of the MSDGC DVDs are incredible. I have also found that they are a great way to explain disc golf to people who just don't get it.

Even working in a small company, it's hard to get stuff delivered to you. Sometimes they put your name in the address, sometimes they forget the name of the company, sometimes the postman only rings twice. I am much more confident I will recieve something if I order it to be delivered to my home, but then, I don't live in an apartment, I have a house.

For a long time I thought someone was reading my DirtRag magazine I had ordered to keep up with bike tech, turns out they were getting sent back to DirtRag because I forgot to put my company name on there and the postman didn't care to check to see if I worked there. I had them fix the subscription and extend the subscription. You know how many magazines I recieved of a 12 month subscription? 2. It's almost not worth complaining. But I may get around to it.

Nothing but love for the Marshall street guys. They deliver fast and their DVDs are awesome. And I am in the latest one! (My arm is featured in the greatest shots section)

I'll put in my 2 cents worth of good reports for Marshall Street. I recently placed two orders and paid using PayPal. The payments were miss-routed by PayPal (I have filed a claim to get that fixed), but the MS boys shipped my orders anyway.

The second order was for my 7-year-old daughter, who is just starting to play. Her only request was that all the discs be blue - she has no idea what disc is what. I just received the order today - a blue Ace, blue Spirit, blue Polecat and an orange Shark - with a blue stamp!

These guys are great - we all have our $%#&-ed up days.

Agreed..simply amazing..2004 was great, but the 2005 DVD is even better...2 great and funny comentators...cameras all over the courses...all types of extras...something like 3+hrs of footage.

Still probably the best disc golf DVD I own to date.

Can't beat watching McCoy jump in the pond!

Good or not, it still offers my fans an inexpensive way to watch me throw some great shots. This should also increase sales.

Yes I agree that everyone has there bad days, but reflect on this. In the corporate world he would be fired immediately for remarks like that to a customer and/or there business would lose clients.

I'm not saying he was right or wrong or anything. Just my 2 cents.

Jason should be sending him some freebees for that crap!

it in the video, you just hafta know the tricks, go to the skins main page where it offeres ace, birdie, and womens, and just leave it there for while (be patient) it will automatically start playing the qualifier.

And if the announcing was better, it might have made it on as a real section on the DVD!
