Pooner or later every creature that lives under the stairs gets a disc named after them.
CONGRATS GOBLIN(gobbler)!
You can chunk it a mile but it won't go in from 10 ft. out.

now that they have another small diameter mid they definatey need to reproduce the gremlin
you could have a complete midrange set of evil little buggers.

I may have to buy one just to compare it to my Gremlins and see how much different the mold is. Definitely one of the most underrated midrange discs. Better than a Roc IMHO...

I just got mine today, and threw it at lunch...This thing is way overstable. I'll be taking the Drone out of my bag, and throwing this disc anytime I need a really overstable midrange shot.

New DX or old DX?

Get it beat in a bit and it's not so overstable. How do you like the plastic? We were getting nice straight glide with it, after it had a few parking lot scrapes. Not sure what that one flew like new, but my other one started out more overdtable than our test disc when I was throwing it. It can really get to a nice point, heck, might be a great "degrees of stability disc, one new for hyzer, one worn for straight, one beat for turns. Haven't had enough experience with it yet, but I like it a lot so far.

Got mine today out at Wimberley and I made some pretty good up shots. Less hyzer than my Champion Gator, right on the money center.

About the Goblin
The Goblin is a small diameter, point and shoot mid-range disc. It makes an excellent starter disc and is a great choice for players using only one disc. Side arm or backhand, the Goblin performs well as a short range driver or approach disc. It putts well too. On a short course, this is the only disc you will need.

I just recieved a batch of the Proto versions and they seem alot like the Aero comparison Dave D. made. A little less domey and slightly different on the rim. Ill have them at the River City Rumble or through the shop.

I got a baby blue with yellow star stamp 174g Goblin today. The new DX plastic is really grippy, more grippy than most Star (feels about the same as my orange Star Aviar), and doesn't have that waxy feel that I didn't like with the old DX.
I threw a bunch of putts with it. I liked it. Not a lot of bounce or roll, the disc is soft enough to drop and stay. Pretty good putting disc.
On the field, this disc flew very well. I got some pretty nice long, straight, low fade shots. I think this is disc is going to be a huge success with beginner throwers and kids. It has a really nice feel, less deep rim than an Aero, will fit small hands very nicely.
It's an easy disc to throw, get's good distance, lot's of glide, and works as a pretty darn good putter.
I haven't taken it out on the course yet, but I'll try it soon. I think it's going to be a good little disc. Not sure if I would replace anything in my bag with it, but we'll see.

Small hands...smells of cabbage.
I agree. I think it will be a great disc in general. Short Coyote, Long Aviar.

I usually play one disc with a beat Aviar P&A so this disc sounds like a fun for one disc :). would be cool to have a gremlin and goblin in the bag, but don't need either at the moment.

i like the goblin but am finding that it is not much different to a medium wizard. i agree that is is extremely easy to throw and i might end up giving mine to my 10 yr old son who loves to play. i think it would be ggreat for him.

Shot a 10 down at the Winthrop Lakefront with the Goblin in my bag. granted, I only threw it twice, it garnered me two drop in birdies. Only reason I didn't throw it more is because I am so used to throwing the same shots with the same discs.

I'm surprised there hasn't been more action on this thread. I'm loving my Goblin! For me, it's like a shorter range Buzz. Very easy to throw with accuracy, low fade. The star stamp is friggin' sweet too! This new DX plastic feels like butter!
So, it's been a week or so since they came out, what does everyone think? I think it's a winner!

can someone compare it to a Spider? that is by far my favorite midrange disc so thats the one it would have to beat out if I were to get it.
Thanks.

A Spider has more speed and will turn over a lot easier. The Goblin seems to be more suited for shorter floating up shots with a lot of flop. I've been running at the pin with mine and missing but, I've never thrown a disc that hugs the ground as well as this one. It's been leaving me a lot of 5-10 ft. putts which I like b/c those are the eassssssssssy ones

I agree 100% with what DR P said. This is the perfect short upshot disc. Haven't really putted with it, but it is leaving me right next to the basket. Did sink a 70 ft approach shot with it the first time I ever threw it in a round!
No, I don't work for Innova...I just reallly like this disc!

It actually replaced the champion Classic Roc in my bag. I find the Goblin to be a bit straighter, more accurate, and maybe even a bit longer. But yes, these two discs are somewhat similar in flight. I find the Goblin to be a bit more comfortable in the hand because it doesn't have the somewhat large bead of the CR.
Anyway, if you throw CR, you should check this disc out.
F'n sprained my ankle pretty good yesterday in the mud at DeLa...I'm outa commision this weekend!!! Sux!

Started putting with the Goblin recently, flies really flat and straight! Great for putting on somewhat windy days when my APX becomes unreliable.
I'm sort of skeptical about this disc in Star plastic (too overstable?), but we will see. Perhaps I will get a lighter weight than my 171g DX...
This has become one of my favorite discs. Give me this and a TL and I could do well on many courses.

I played (and won) two of my Tiki Madness matches this weekend with a 150g DX Goblin. Fun thrower; lots of glide for a putter. I'll pick up a 150g STAR one just for fun, as well.

Any word yet on Glow Goblin's ?
The Goblin has put an end to my "never ending" search for 2002 CE Classic Rocs!
The '02 CEs are just like a brand new DX Classic Roc that doesn't beat in [for a long time]. The new runs of CE Classic Rocs are way too over stable. I had to relabel mine FireRoc due to its Firebird characteristics.
I like the new DX feel and the Goblin is a much cheaper alternative to a hard to find '02 CE Classic Roc. Great for short drives and upshots!!
FYI my bag used to have (2) Ce Classic Rocs and (1) DX Classic Roc.
