Spoke to the Mayor this morning.Told him to wait till next week to move the pins.I still have three more to lay out.I should be getting the chainsaw tomorrow. So this week i'll slide down there to clear a little more.Next week the holes will be moved.I need you guys to rake out the fairways on the new holes.REALLY!!! Just do one a day and they will be done in no time.LOOK GUYS! Alma has the potential to be the best!!! I NEED YOUR HELP. Quit tellin me your gonna do it and get it done. That is your home course and you need to slick it up.Concrete will be in the ground BEFORE the new baskets. But nothin is gettin done till those fairways are cleared out.I can't do it alone.Your Move!!! Next,I'm delivering the sponser packets for the Greens off tomorrow to the Mayor.I have two possable sponsers for the tourney(I want both)I'll handle the tourney sponsers.Start getting committments for the course.$100.00 for the signs,$50.00 for the basket.$200.00 for the practice basket. That's $2,900.00 That's our new baskets.GET COMMITTMENTS FOR SPONSERSHIP!!!We'll get the forms to you soon.Maybe tomorrow night.I'll call Evan tomorrow.Maybe he'll draw up something for hole sponsers for us real quick.LET'S NOT WAIT TILL THE LAST MINUTE FOR THIS.LET'S GET IT OVER WITH SO WE CAN ENJOY OUR NEW COURSE.
Hey Tom it might be our priority but its not like we have time every day to go down there because we have stuff to do to, so when we get the time we will. If you think its such a big deal then back off beacuse I know I might be 13 but since your the one puting the course together supposedly I think if you dont mind I think we and willie would like to help you design the other three holes IF you dont mind but get back to us tonight and tell me or willie what you think about that.THANKS
AND FURTHERMORE I DONT THINK THAT WILL BE A PROBLEM..............THANKS

Hey
I'm not sure what crawled in his head and laid meanie eggs, :Dbut I do not feel the same. While I have been very busy with spring break last week, and keeping my 5mth pregnant wife happy (by not spending so much time on disc golf) I realize this is our course and we need to be doing more. But, as you can probably geuss, when I say work day to 12-14 year olds, they say UHHHH I'm busy! But we are planning on going to Alma today and working and I will try to spend another day or two out there this week. But I'm not going to jeopardize going to the tournament this weekend by spending too much time at the course this week. :)
See you at the meeting tonight! Everyone try and make it out.

Alma is approx 80 miles of( We'll rip you off at the toll booths) To I 40 West(That's a LEFT SCOTT)Then approx 60 miles to the Alma (Hwy 71)turnoff,Go North(That's left again)Two blocks to Column Lane,Turn Right. On your right hand side will be the Meadors Inn(Sleezy Motel)Then on the Left will be the entrance to the park.(You'll notice it says ENTRANCE).Flyers were handed out at The ChandlerStock event(That's OK,I don't remember much of that weekend myself :D)It is only about an Hour and a Half drive for someone doing 80 mph.Furdogs should take two,(Don't wanna spill anything)Fat Naked Guys are OK till the Police show up.Peeing is MANDATORY in the kiddie pool.If you play a half round and quit you do get a good razzing for being a wuss.Only the top 3rd get Chickens.Everybody else cooks them WHILE getting the razz. You may end up in a tree anyway. The Tubefluffer can be parked up Dave's canyon.. :D:D:D:D:DAny more questions?Feel free to ask.

Treeshark and I are hitting the Alma course at 6:30 to 7:00 in the morning for a few hours. WORK not play!! Gonna clean up anything I can find that needs cleaning in the time I have. Chainsaw, rakes, clippers, fourwheeler, whatever it takes.
Also, if you didn't see it, there is a good write-up on the Tourney (FRONT PAGE) in the Alma Journal and in the Press Argus Courier of Crawford County. It has quotes from the mayor and general DG information. It takes up about a quarter of the page. Nice to see DG in the headlines and let people see what a positive thing it is. It also says something about an Alma (ex) teacher that started a disc golf club and really helped promote the course (no names though) :D:D

I had a great time at the tourney. Great job, Tom. Had one of the worst rounds of my life first round, (+14), and one of my better ones second, (+4). Part of the game. I think there should be two rings of fire, though. One for Advanced and up, one for Intermediate and down, just to make things fair. Oh, yeah, I threw my shark into the water tower area.... :( :( :( I MISS IT!!!!!!!!!! :D

I had a great time today. I really like the course at Alma. Stacey, it's good to see you again, and good luck with the baby...can't wait to see you back on the course in October! I enjoyed meeting Amanda and Monica...you are great golfers and sweet people! Thanks Tom, for lowering the women's entry fee so we could all play together...that was very cool. And thanks for including a trophy for the ladies division.
As for John's suggestion - Maybe not two separate rings of fire, but at least one single round for each division...especially women and juniors. I'm pretty sure not one junior or woman won, but oh well, I guess I just need to be a better putter! Another suggestion would be for one person to not be allowed to win more than one or two times.
And congrats to Larry Gardner on your first sanctioned Open win!

Had a super time. Always love being being able to play a tourney with my wife. Thanks to Tom and all the WAFDA guys and gals. The course looked great and really enjoyed the changes. Taking the course down by the lake was a great move. And mowing that hillside on the upper ledge made those holes slightly easier but MUCH, MUCH more enjoyable to play. Thanks to the Mayor and Allen Canning for the cool Popeye plastic, plaque and way cool ceramic mug. Can't wait to see next years Stamp-- (Popeye slinging plastic?).
TWISTED FLYER--very cool. Thanks for the added gear Mr. JOE ROTAN!!! Got one of the very cool Twisted shirts--NICE! Thanks to all involved with running a fun, smooth tourney. Great job.
Oh yeah, Good luck to everyone playing the Northwest Doubles today. Water no good, trees no good--Fairways and chains real good. :) :)

I enjoyed the tournament. I wish I could of played better. But I still had a great time. The course is awesome. I love it.
It was great playing with you Melissa. You are playing awesome and good-luck at Worlds.
I enjoyed meeting and playing with Monica and Amanda. Yes, very cool, Pitch to lower the entry fee for womens division so we all could play.
I will be back next year. Hopefully more women from NWA will come. And maybe some women from Little Rock and just more women entirely.
I am sorry I am going to miss Hell on the Border. But I am going to encourage some ladies to go from here. So hopefully there will be a womens field there.

I'm looking at the board for Alma Greens.1st Place Open went to Larry Gardner in a playoff against Coda Hatfield.(First sanctioned win)Congrats Larry.1st Open Masters to non other that ME in the same type of situation(Gotcha Tommy /msgboard/images/graemlins/smirk.gif)1st Advanced to Mr Heath Whitley with ties for 2nd with Justin Bougher and Adam Morrow 3rd place ties with Randal Reisner Jerry Stacey.(I do believe we split all those goodies up didn't we?)I'm so tired I can't hardly remember.1st Am looks like Lee Allen and 2nd going to Jared Strought.(Forgive me if i'm wrong but a couple figures got erased a little)Looks to be correct.Novice 1st went to Kevin Solik 2nd to Russell Ray .Women Melissa Stayce 1st Stacey Whitley and her partner :D2nd.Junior Dustin Watkins 1st and 2nd went to Alex Hoyle.Good job to everybody and thank you all for showing.Next year we know there will be so many more and are looking forward to it.43 showed and the total purse I think should be approx $2,000.Sorry about the Skins thing.I tried to scrape up an extra couple bucks for it but our Mayor needed to show th city council a little something so it went in that direction. It was last minute idea and I think I mentioned that it might happen.First place to Open was $300.00(Not bad for 6 players)1st to Open Masters $180.00 It really didn't have anything to do with the players who were top 4 scores.I really would have loved to give that money away.Next year look for a final 9 playoff and the skins to happen. If all the sponsers just double the money it'll be what i'm looking for.Alma will be a B Tier someday. Thanks everyone,Glad you enjoyed the new layout.Concrete and Alternates will be in place by then.Come on back and see us anytime. We'll keep it up for you to enjoy.Minis are going to be happening more often and i'll get a chance to practice once in a while now(Thank God!)See Ya!!!
