I posted this earlier on the Tulsa thread so I thought I would bump it up here.
I cannot believe this, Jeremy was a really cool cat and I liked him a lot...I remember before one of my early tournaments playing disc golf I ran into Jeremy and Kyle at Dolese, we joined up and finished the round together. Jeremy was a fun guy to be around, I'm going to miss seeing his smiling grill at tournaments. I know he was a he11 of a soccer player as well.
My condolences to his family and close friends, he will surely be missed.
I know Kyle and Jeremy were close friends, if anybody sees Kyle tell him the Tulsa boys are praying for him.

We (the Lincoln Flying Disc Club) recently lost one of our own. It was great getting out with other golfers for a round of tribute golf.
Honestly, what better tribute to a fellow golfer than to gather, swap old stories and play in their memory?

My sincere condolences to the friends and families of the OKC and Lincoln departed disc golfers. One other way to give tribute and honor our departed disc golf friends is on the PDGA front page under the NDGC Endowment info:
"By making a tax deductible donation, individuals, clubs, and companies will make a contribution that will last far beyond their lifetime affirming their dedication to this amazing project and the sport we all love."
The Des Moines Disc Golf Club recently made a $500.00 contribution for a tee pad or bench, but not in anybody's memory.

Thanks Mike...it was a rough weekend, but when 300+ people show up for a 31yr olds services, you know he touched a lot of people in the short time.
Thanks to everyone who showed up for the doubles and raised over $400 for the event. Thanks to Jeremy for throwing my disc in the basket for an ACE on the final hole. I know he helped on that one.
Everyone lost a great player last week, but we also all made about 10 more friends during that time.

Man, the turnout for the service was INCREDIBLE. It definitely shows just how Jeremy touched so many people in such a short time. Nice to see the winners of the following doubles round so generously donate their winnings to such a worthy cause, too. No one hesitated to walk away from cash when they knew it would be going to Jeremy's family, and that's a great indication of just how big a family disc golf really is.

When Adam threw his shot it was going straight at the tree, I yelled, "get in the HOLE," and everyone in the parking lot started to watch his shoot skip and drill the chains.
It was a great way to end the day.
On a side note.
Jeremy never aced hole 1 at dolese. His old roomate Josh Cunningham, was practicing before we started, and guess what, he aced hole 1. Kyle Wilkes and I looked at each other, and said, "That was for J."
What a great experience.
Thanks to all 43 people that played in memory of J-Dog
