No fires at the lake. They were just about everywhere else. Hopefully there won't be any fires before this years tournament. If no rain comes between now and then, there could possibly be no campfires for the campers. There have been burn bans in effect here for a long time. But regardless of the possibility of having a burn ban, Jose' will make sure this years Hillclimber will be great!

If you haven't been there, don't worry about what is par, you will shoot double digits over anyhow. :o

This isn't a slam on your game but a huge tout for the course. :o

I believe all the holes on courses in OK are par 3's. Do take the trip to Duncan you will have alot of fun.

Griffin Park # 2 is a par 4. That's probably it though.

Only until the new course goes in at Twin Oaks Golf Course in Duncan. Then we will have a few par 4's and at least 1 par 5. :D

Wow - I just found this thread.

As most of you know the burn ban has been lifted. I would call everything at Duncan a par 3 but over par is still competitive in most divisions.

Moody and I had no intentions of planning an event on the same weekend. Moody is a good man and I hope his event and the DLHO both fill up. I know they will both be great events. I know in 2004 the DLHO was on the last weekend of March and the only reason it was in April last year is because Easter fell on the last weekend in March. For next year, plan on DLHO being the last weekend of March.

If anyone is trying to catch up on an DLHO info. I have mostly been posting in a thread under the Tulsa Disc Sports Association - there is about 11 pages of info. there for anyone attending that wants to catch up on some info.

Also big thanks to the GPO for donating some stuff to the DLHO and sending your support. I look forward to playing in this one.

Par 4's - Haikey Creek in Tulsa is now a par 56 to 58 depending on who you talk to. I know the courses at Mohawk will have a par in the 60's. We (Oklahoma) are getting there.

I am also looking forward to and have it marked on my calendar to attend Tom's event in Duncan. We have talked some about what he has in store for all of us and I am excited.

I turned in a course proposal to the City of Duncan today asking them to let us make the temp course at the Lake permanent. I didn't ask them for anything but the okay to do it as we recieved baskets either by donations or if I ever just had alot of extra money laying around to buy them myself.(yeah right) Cross your fingers if you would like to see that course permanent. The lakes meeting that will probably discuss this motion will most likely be May 3rd if anyone would like to attend. Let me know what you guys think about it. If you would like to join me at the meeting it could only help. Thanks, Johnny Z.
