What is the difference in Discraft Z versus Crystal plastic? I have a buzz's in both and the Crystals seem to be a little more stable. Is there a difference or do I jsut happen to have max weight in crystal and not know it?

The Cryztal Should be more stable(overstable).. The Plastic is different from Z and makes the disc more overstable. This was meant to happen because they had been talking about since they made the first Cryztal disc.. IT's a way to raise money for tournies and it's a great disc.
I personally like the Cryztal buzzz, but I prefer my 1st run buzzz over it(but a 1st run buzzz is not the same plastic as regular Z or the same mold).

From what I've seen, different colors of Cryztal Buzzzs fly differently. I've seen dark green way overstable, and pink more understable. Light green and blue were both straight. These were all with the same stamp, but you never know.

Weight might have a lot to do with the Crystal Buzzz. I agree that they are more stable then the regular Z. However the Crystal discs are produced in a weight range that is fairly wide.
Crystal Challengers range 172-174g (acceptable differences)
Crystal Buzzz range 172-178g (this is way to big of a gap. At 178g the disc is the perfect weight for me as a straight or overstable flyer, but at 172g it is a turn over disc.) I do not own a triple beam scale to figure out what weight my disc is. 2 gram range is pretty much tolerable, but a 6 gram range! Yikes

Yes, they made a duplicate top specifically to run Cryztal with...it allows them to get the plastic up to max weights and still be that clear.

The Crystal Z is kind of funky when you try to dye it. The weighting agents in the standard Z must make the plastic more porous to the dye because sometime the Crystal dies patchy.
Or do you buy discs to throw them and this is kind of irrelevant?
