I�ve been in the process of putting in a small 9 hole course here on my land�

I had 9 Innova Discatchers ready to go into the ground. I had 5 of them in an outside shed, but I didn�t have any room for the other 4. I had them chained and locked to one of the polls under my carport�

When I got home from work tonight all 4 of them were gone. They cut through the chain to steal them. I live out in the country, so there would be no way that anyone would have known that I even had them unless they were scoping out the place�

I called the police and it took them 2 hours to come out here just to write a report�

I cant tell you guys how #$*&$! off I am right now! That�s $1300 down the drain! I�ve been saving for a long time for those baskets, and I know that I will never see them again! I better not find out who did it!

That is wrong. Maybe basket manufacturers could put tattle-tape rf id #'s inside the poles like they do with library books and some products in order to prevent theft. Or maybe serial numbers engraved in? I hope you get them back and am glad you filed a police report.

I always try to look on the bright side. if you would have had all 9 in the ground they might all be missing.
Did they cut the lock or the chain?
Of course it is someone you know, why would they do that to you?

You should sell the remaining 5 discatchers back to innova or someone else and I can work out a sweet deal for you to get 9 Titans on your home course.

Yeah the Titans are pretty slick... Can't go wrong there.

If you recently bought your DISCatchers, there is a serial number stamped into the metal on the inside of the band. The same # is written on the box, and may also be written on your invoice. Check the numbers against those on the boxes and you at least have something to help track down YOUR baskets. The number is somewhat hard to see because it is under the powdercoating, but it is there if you have newer baskets. Good Luck, that's a horrible thing to have happen at your house. I had a $3000 bike stolen from my garage when I was living with roommates. Took a long while before I was able to ride a bike again without anger. Good luck to you on your quest to catch the thieves.

The baskets were purchased on different occasions. The 5 that I still have were purchased together, and the four that were stolen were purchased at the same time. They do have serial numbers on them. The police have those numbers.

I would have rather had the Titans in the first place if I would have known about them when I got these!

If I did send the 5 back for a refund, it would cost tons in shipping. They cut the chain, not the lock. I�ll call you at some point tomorrow. I have something else that I need to talk to you about as well.

I wish I would have been home when they took them! Its always a nice day when I have a chance to shoot my 12 gauge.

i am just asking the questions that come to mind when i see the pic you posted as your avatar. i figured you just aren't thinking about how the pic. would be received based on the gender and age of your reader. a scantily clad woman in chains w/ duct tape over her mouth could be:

a). a consenting adult into that kind of thing
b). a drug addict pornstar who does what it takes to get her next fix
c. a victim sold into sexual slavery (recent news talked about how some American exectives take trips overseas to have their way with adolescent girls sold into sexual slavery)

not to perpetuate this thread anymore than it needs to be, but just pointing out to aviar.

I lived three blocks away from the red light district in Frankfurt, Germany for four years. I met a lot of girls that were "victims" of the sex-slave market. They go out to clubs, shopping, dinner, whatever they feel like, as long as they don't leave.

When you read about the underground sexual slave market they don't mean a bunch of people being sold to some dude and getting chained up in his basement. They are talking about people from 3rd world countries (Kosovo, Bosnia, Ukraine, India, etc) being offered "jobs" in places such as Germany, Holland, Czech Rep. etc. Or yes, in some cases sold. But when they get there they are not slaves in the sense of wearing chains and being whipped. They work in ***** houses. They make a little money, but most of them are slaves to the people they work for. Usually the Russian Mafia or the Iranians in Germany. They don't get whipped and tied up, that's sado-masochism.

And I'm not saying that it is a carefree great existance, because the lot of them are unhappy and don't want to do what they are doing and probably won't get out of it until they've lost their "appeal", but it isn't quite Silence of the Lambs either.
