This event is an A-tier in the Atlanta, GA area the weekend prior to the Pro Worlds in Augusta. Augusta is only two hours away from Atlanta, so we'd like to see some touring players make this stop.

Not to mention, Redan is one of the top courses Atlanta and even Ga has to offer. It is a favorite course locally and by traveling dogs as well.

Lenora is a long open course with good elevation change. Both courses have as #$*&$! well manicured as any you will play.

Greg runs a great tournament, this is sure to be one of the best southern events of the year. A well timed event the week before the Worlds.

what if you are an am but not intermediate, lets say junior or am grandmaster...are you welcome then?

or would you be stealing one of the touring players spots?

ps....why is this on the tournament thread?

I highly recommend the Atlanta "HotLanta" SuperTour as a warm-up event to anyone who will be playing in the Pro Worlds in Augusta. As Greg stated, Atlanta is just a short two hour drive from Augusta and this is a great way to become acclimated to the hot, humid Georgia weather. They don't call the tournament HOTlanta for nothing!

I should clarify that Keith, you are correct. Hotlanta will be a pro and advanced only event. There will be no intermediate or juniors division.
