if L=leopard bottom then what does X= ?...L=less,X=extra,as in stable...the FL reminds me of the old stlye Eagles from 10-12 years ago...stable but not xtra stable....now apply this info to all other Innova discs and the questions will answer themselves :o

L does NOT equal Leopard bottom!!!!!
There are many different "L" discs out there. Starfire, Firebird, Eagle, Tee-bird, and all of them have different rim widths. It is therefore impossible to have one bottom part of the Leopard mold work with all these different rim widths and depths.
L=less stable
X=more stable
THAT'S IT!!!

I always think that is funny. :D
Leopard bottom, leopard lip. Is that the one of the most widespread misconceptions in disc golf or what? I keep hearing people call it a leopard something. WHO STARTED THE LIE ?!?

Its true.
F=FB=FX-- same mold
FL-- different mold (I think the first run CE's were marked F but were really FL?)

Correct. But I've heard that a small fraction (and I mean small) of the first run CE's were the FX mold. for the most part, though, the firebirds from the first run's were FL molds.
