The auction is for a copy of the patent document with Ed's illustration, not the actual patent. These would look great in the DGHOF.

Nice, History is coooool.

Even cooler is I have a Mach I that was owned by Victor 002. Ed 001 gave it to Victor as a gift. It has Pat. Pending on it.

Adam, Look up the Original Mach 2, It had 2 designs, one with middle chains and the other was with the center pole shaped as a cone inside the outer chains. Now that would be a nice piece of history to have, (the one with the cone). I have one of the original inner chain Mach 2s that Ed gave me when he came to town and we re-designed the courses in Tulsa for the 1985 Worlds. I still putt on it in the backyard. It is a spitting machine :D

Yep. You'd basically be paying the Ebay seller for some fancy paper and (maybe) a good reprint job.

It is a great part of history. The very first pole hole is in the hall of fame. It is tall and looks like everything would cut through the chains. Lavone had all the hall of fame stuff at his house for a while, and it was pretty cool seeing how it all started.

Remember, when the Pole Hole first came out, we were throwing big Frisbee's at them. So they caught pretty good. Better than anything else.
BTW, I have 9 of the original ones with the dome tops for light bulbs.

I just like looking at the illustration of the disc without any beveled edge hitting chains... Haha...
