The Norman Disc Golfers Association is Oklahoma's newest club. We are a "soon to be" PDGA affiliated club. This is a club that has been founded out of former SDG members who desired more organization.
Our new website is up at Norman Disc Golf dot com (http://www.normandiscgolf.com)
Not all of our content is up so if you have any questions just use the "Contact Us" button on the site.
The NDGA will be the host club for the Griffin Park Open (B-Tier Pending) and the 31st OFD State Championships (C-Tier)
Look for our message board to replace SDG in the near future. :o
Just a FYI !!!!!!
more to come.........

No more Sooner Disc Golf?
What about all those sweet Automobile Sooner DG magnets rolling around Norman?

I think I saw this one guy still rolling around with those..!? :D
My van got vandalized the other day....seriously.
Someone scratched off the SOONER part of my SoonerDiscGolf.com sticker. ....really classy. Good thing I've got my brand new NDGA sticker to put in it's place!
Nice Am Worlds banner on the site..Eh? Sweet.

Sorry, I think I misread that the first time I read it. At first, I thought you were implying that "someone" (an ex SDG member, possibly whom you are now in conflict with) scratched off the Sooner disc golf sticker. Sorry for the confusion. It was probably some Poke fan!

I'm not one to try and start anything, but I'm pretty sure I saw an SDG member do it. ;)

Well, I've left SDG. So it was probably a Current SDG member or a Poke fan or TwoPutt.

Is this going to cause problems having 2 clubs out of Norman? Doesn't sound like ya'll will be working together- is that a correct impression?
I do wish you good luck on the new club! We need a good club in the OKC/Norman area....not saying the other one is bad...but there is always room for improvment!

No problem from our end. There were many reasons why NDGA was formed, but we feel that working together with other clubs and organizations can only improve the disc golf community. The members of the two clubs have the same goals just different ideas of how to get there.

Glad to see cooperation between the two (as well as others) is intended...hope the intent is reciprocal

I just checked out your site- could have answered my own questions if I had done that first! :o
I think you are off to a great start! And, I too, and happy to hear that clubs will be working together.
What kind of help are you needing right now?

NDGA will be running States and will be involved in the Griffin Park Open. I am sure we could use some help at these two events. We will be announcing the first official meeting shortly.

With a charitable donation of $40.00 to the NDGA, citizens will be able to "sponsor" a bench at N.E. Lions Park in Norman, OK.
A large gift was bestowed upon the NDGA and the City of Norman last month when John Pierce, of American Tube in Birmingham, Alabama, donated steel tubing and welding labor. These pieces of steel are enough to make 18 permanent benches for the N.E. Lions Park Disc Golf Course. Now, it is upon the local disc golf community to do their part and sponsor the benches. With a gift of $40.00, it will allow the NDGA to purchase the materials needed to install and maintain a bench, as well as, provide a brass plaque detailing the name of the person(s) that the particular bench is a gift of.
For more information on this program or if you would like to sponor a bench, call 405.417.1314 or e-mail us. normandiscgolf@hotmail.com

Good idea...odds are most T-Town golfers are putting their money towards sponsoring a hole at one of our new courses, I'll donate to NDGA once I have my worlds $$$ donated. I plan on sponsoring atleast 2 holes at Mohawk.

Cool, I didn't know about that. Count on NDGA to sponsor a hole!
