Hello all. Its been a long time since I have posted anything about the Ladies Of Live Oak, I really dont have any new info but I thought I would start a thread about it.

We will be starting up again in the Spring once the time changes.

If you have any questions or concerns or anything else email, pm or post.

Also if any ladies would like to get together for a casual round post it here, or contact me.

Lots of new players out there this year. Have seen a few ladies out with there boys, get some flyers together they want more info.Just spreadin' the word.

After a long Winter break the Ladies of Live Oak will be back in action on Wednesday March 1st at 5:30. I know the time has not changed yet but we can get in some golf before it gets dark. Meet as usual at the picnic table by 28.

This year I would like to raise money for LOLO mini's and maybe some bag tags. If anyone has any ideas feel free to let me know.

And as always....BRING YOUR BAGS AND GOOD ATTITUDES. :)

Is the day to play, learn and enjoy disc golf at Circle R Ranch in Wimberley, TX.

United States and World Champion Des Reading invites all women disc golfers to a special day of workshops and play. The day will consist of 2 hours of instructional work to improve shot selection, strategy and throwing fundamentals. Bring a lunch and stay for the group round afterward. Groups will go out together and Des will filter in and play with all groups. This will be a fun time to observe and use real round golf shots to applied workshop knowledge. We are really hoping to get some more women�s teams at TX State Am Doubles. We already have one advanced women�s team and one rec women�s team, with one more from each division in the works, but we know there are a lot of LOLO. This is a very fun, camp-out tournament on a good course, and we�ll certainly treat the ladies right.

MARCH 10-12, 2006, PDGA XB-TIER
Benefiting the Don Austin Memorial Animal Shelter (a division of the Brenham Police Department)

A Perfect Warm-up for World Doubles - Limited to 32 Teams per Flight

Three rounds of 18 holes with a final 9 on Sunday afternoon. There will be a cut before the final nine. Texas State Doubles competition based on the World Doubles format. Bring your own everything: camping supplies, food and drink, etc. PACK IT IN PACK IT OUT.

Pre-registration ends Wednesday, March 8, 2006. A $5 late fee will be charged after March 8th. Credit card registration available through titledisc.com, must include all fees.

FOR FLIGHT A ONLY: AT LEAST ONE TEAMMATE MUST CHECK-IN ON FRIDAY MARCH 10TH BETWEEN 1:00 PM AND 11:00 PM (or register - if space still available). This person must pay all the team�s fees that are still due: ace pot, non-PDGA fees, etc. NO REGISTRATION OR CHECK-IN FOR FLIGHT A ON SATURDAY MARCH 11TH. Any pre-registered team not checked in by 11:00 pm on Friday will be dropped and replaced by a team on the waitlist.

FOR FLIGHT B ONLY: Please try to have at least one teammate check in (or register - if space still available) on Friday March 10th, between 1:00 pm and 11:00 pm. This will help us out greatly getting things ready for Saturday. There will be a short check-in & registration period Saturday morning March 11th from 7:30 am � 8:30 am. FLIGHT A: Saturday: No Check-In Available; Player's meeting at 7:00 am. Round #1 Best Shot, tee time 7:30am; Round #2 Alternate Shot. Sunday: Round #3 Best Score (TBA, but probably around 11 am), Round #4 Worst Shot 10-12, Best shot 13-15, Best Score 16-18.

FLIGHT B: Saturday: Late check-in 7:30am � 8:30 am; Player's meeting at 9:30 am. Round Top is half way between Austin and Houston. When you get to Round Top, turn at the blinking light (right from La Grange, left from Carmine). Turn left on 1457. Go about 3 miles then turn left onto 2714 to Winedale; (Wood sign says "Winedale Historical Center"). Go past the Stagecoach Inn and just before the black top ends, turn right on Muske-Ullrich Rd. The road will make a "dog leg", drive (.7mile) or half way down the hill and turn left at #3405 the sign says The Snow Farm. Stop at the first house on the left: The Doghouse. This Saturday April 15 there will be a workday at the new Williamson county disc golf course. This is supposed to be a real quality course. Any help we can get will be greatly appreciated.Here are a few details:This couse was designed by John Houck and It has been compared to the Rolling Meadow at circle R.
LaLa is bringing lunch!!!!!
start time 9:00am at Williamson Park.
Goal: set 18 baskets...the holes have been dug!
From Ih-35:
West on 1431(5 miles) , take right on to 175(williamson park sign) go about 1/2 mile The park is on right.
Course is across from the flag poles.

Not sure who all is going but I know I am and maybe Tara but not sure. Due to some personal issues the Ladies Of Live Oak have been on the back burner for awhile and we are slowly starting back up. With my right hand girl, not having a usable right hand right now, our start will be a little slower.

Hope to be bringing a group of some kind though........

Luckily Temple ladies caught on to the idea of a womens club like the Ladies Of Live Oak and I am glad to see they can keep it up. Some of my ladies moved out of country others decided to fall on glass. :) As for the men of Live Oak I cant help you on that one..... :o:D

Ed and I just completed a meeting of the minds and the decision to keep All the ladies on the same course at the same time. The Tee time will remain the same!!!((10:[email protected] Hollow)This will continue to focus on the ladies enjoying each other and experiencing a great event,and the ladies climbing the rating ladder will be able to compare their game with the big girls.
This will cause for some delays during play, but the up side is the T.D.'s have it easier and get to enjoy the experience.

Ladies Night was great. It was good to play again as the LOLOs. Thanks Laura and Tara for coming out. Laura played for the first time with the girls since the "incident" and she did great. Way to be strong there girly. :)

The Ladies Of Live Oak is something I am very proud of and have been for two years. Due to some major changes in my life I have not been able to focus on it as much as I would like.

Many people have supported us, including many Live Oakers, Robbie Rooster Cooper and many others. Kat and Tony Bender donated the first stack of plastic to the LOLO's and we could have done NOTHING without the support of everyone involved. I appreciate all of the help and I hope one day for the Ladies Of Live Oak to be as strong as it has been in the past.

It's pretty, but I agree with Suemac. It needs something bright! I like the flower border though- I like the "girly" aspect you are going for.

It has been brought to my attention that the silhouette of the female putter may be misread: the "protrusion in question" could be seen as a part of the male anatomy. I'm looking for a replacement, as the change would be easy.

Does anyone have any pics of female putters they would be willing to donate? The one I used is Nelle from the Twisted Flyer site:

First I want to give a big THANK YOU to Des Reading!
Des came out and did some Putting, X-step, and Driving clinics. It was a very helpful for my game as well as for teaching any new LOLO's

Speaking of new LOLO's, want to welcome Kyle and Pam to the Ladies of Live Oak!! They as well learned a lot last night, so much they can't wait to come out next week!! Thank you ladies...

LODGA will be sponsoring a girly station this weekend @ TWC. With the funds raised at Park Day, Ruben and I will be able to do the egg find, provide candies, water and other goodies. We will also have a CTP hole somewhere on the course. Park Day couldn't have come at a better time, 2birds with one stone. Thanks again for all the donations that have made this happen.

Great job Stacey!!! I am so proud of you.

Stacey cashed in the Advanced Women's Division at The Texas Women's Championships against some really good women. She placed 5th out of 11 and had the third best score the last round out of all divisions. ;) The practice is paying off. The girl can Putt!!! I heard that from so many people this weekend. :cool:

Hey Matt! so can y'all come down on the 24th? I already talked to Big Bird about it and he is down for this.. He also agreed with me about reducing the entry for WOMEN ONLY for this 1 mini only... we are trying to get the new LOLO's to play the mini's as well... So I hope the LODGA guys don't mind the ladies paying a little less just this one time... this will help the ladies want to start playing with the guys. Another thing we agreed on is that we will make sure that every lady plays with an open guy. I know I know it's random draw but the whole thing is to help out the ladies...

Today, we'd like to see what the group wants to do. We usually start a round but, if there's something you�d like to work on���������Thursday�s are great days for practice......we are open to any suggestions.

If available, we can throw in the football field to practice drives, foot work, and do some putting drills or games at the practice basket.

Also, I will bring a phone list of all the LOLO�s and a few SMDG, who would probably like to play other than Thursday�s. :cool:Keep your list handy if you feel the need to come out on any other day. In fact, please do!!!

Tonight we are meeting by hole 23 C (used to be called the $30,000.00 hole :D) across the street from the Live Oak Pool House. We will be using that basket to play a putting game called 21. It's a little too hot these days to play a round of golf and this basket is covered by trees which will make it cool and fun to play this game. So bring your putting game ladies and whoever wins the game will have a choice of these beautiful 2007 Texas Womens Championship INNcolor stamped Wraith or Aviar donated to the LOLO's by 2 great friends/Live Oak disc golfers James Pellman &amp; Michaela Steele &amp; designed by our very own Live Oaker Geoff Mysorski.

Yes it was Ladies Night tonight! Wanna thank Jenn, Vivian(Vixon) :D&amp; Frances for coming out! We had a blast!!

It's always casual play on Ladies night. LOLO's was created for teaching women this great sport of ours, there is never a charge for that and never will be. That is what LODGA mini's are for, once they learn they can compete and they can start whooping on some LODGA men... :D

I will always follow my teacher's dream, which is to promote WOMEN'S DISC GOLF!! (THANKS FOR THAT NELLE! LOVE YA!)

Please don't forget to spread the word about the Bryan McClain Mini Women's/Rec Division with short T's on Saturday's (sign up by 9:15am). It would be great practice and shaping for tournament play.

Whooped up on some men last night with a 59 at LO :DToo bad I didn't pay to play but, jumped on with a 2 man card to test the waters. It felt great to play after 3 weeks down :D

Hope to see some LOLO's at the next one! I encourage all the ladies to play league mini's anywhere you can! <font color="purple"> TWC is just around the corner :D :cool::)

Good Morning Everyone!! I have a very special announcement to make!!

I will be running a mini to help raise funds for the <font color="blue">LADIES OF LIVE OAK!!! </font> to help us represent Live Oak at TEXAS WOMEN'S CHAMPIONSHIP!!!

I want these ladies to enjoy their 1st tournament with style and lots of fun!! Just like Danielle Vargas did for us when we played the 1st TWC!!!

The money will be going for LOLO shirts, LOLO TWC girlie stations and anything else needed for this tournament... So far we have had 4 entries donated THANKS AGAIN! (Joe Minella, Des &amp; Jay Reading, James Pellman/Michaela Steele &amp; David McKibbin)

But we still need a lot more help... Last year Ruben Campos, Jimbob &amp; I reached in our own pockets and made a great girlie station for TWC and very nice LOLO shirts for us... Cannot reach in our own pocket again, so this is where y'all come in...
