The Texas Womens Championship

Vinnie Miller & Ed Coffey are proud to present the second year of the TWC. This will be an opportunity for all the lady golfers to gather for a weekend and to determine the best female golfer in Texas. Cat Hollow is a new course to the Round Rock area and will provide a challenging 18 holes. We have also decided depending on the numbers of players to incorporate the newly designed Rivery Park in Georgetown. Both courses will provide a championship venue that will test the skilled player and create a memorable time for all players. This tournament has partner shipped with the American Cancer Society to raise awareness for breast cancer. And all money raised in the raffle will provide the opportunity for the top two open women of Texas residency to attend the United State Disc Golf Championships
Sign up by mail (attn: Vincent miller 2741 b Citation Garfield, Texas 78617) or Friday before at the pavilion located across the street of the course at Cat Hollow. Saturday morning sign up will be 8:00am thru 9:00am. Saturday players meeting 9:00am tee off 9:30am second round start time to be determined. This is a P.D.G.A. sanctioned and will follow the B tier guidelines.

Come one come all
Between escorts and caddies alone.......we will have a big gallery. Did I mention the newspaper will be there?
The disc golf mags need to get on board or they will be missing one of the hottest tickets this year.
And a wee lil bird tells me another local course will be in the ground by the tournament and TWC is its first official round played round. We will be using the new course instead of Rivery to keep the ladies in the same proximity. This also gives an option for the future to host an event with 75 holes.

Bummer!!! I just found out I have to be out of town (for work) during TWC. :(

I was hoping to be out there like last year; part time escort, part time photographer.

I highly recommend the whole escort thing to all you guys. It is a lot of fun and the women really appreciate it. If they have all the escorts they need, then consider caddying for someone you know. Or even better, caddy for someone you don't know. Pick a woman from out of town and show her how supportive and friendly we are around here, and how much we appreciate her travelling to our area to play disc golf.

TCC: Texas Chick Championships :D

For those that don't know me, I use the term "chick" as a term of endearment. Chick golfers play darn good disc golf, and when I watch Des/Juliana/Burl play, I wish I could throw like a girl. :)

Just got back from Cat Hollow. I think there was a total of 60 ladies playing from all over. Players from California, Iowa, Michigan, Oklahoma and Texas.

The 1st round at Cat Hollow had Courtney Peavy in first with a 53 followed by Angela from Iowa with a 55. 3rd was Suzette from CA and 4th Mel Ring from Texas. The wind was howling all day. I left before the second round was over but I am sure Vinnie will post scores later tonight.

Both round today were at Cat Hollow as the Wilco course was under water from last nights rain. Vinnie said the morning round tomorrow Wilco will be used as the city was putting down mulch and the fact the weather today was winding and sunny things would have dried up.

Keep an eye at www.discgolftv.com (http://www.discgolftv.com) on Wednesday for all the video footage from the weekend.

Thanks
Chris

Thanks Vinnie and Ed for putting on such a great event. I know there were a few quirks and unfortunate last minute changes, but overall, my experience was wonderful, and I had an amazing time. This was my first ever all ladies tournament, and I would definitely recommend this tournament next year...I WILL be back! I met some awesome chicasSuemac, Kat, Michellejust to name a few! The prizes, payouts, and raffles were awesome. Thanks to Efrain, Jamie, and JD for adding an extra $50 CTP for the Open ladies. And the CTP throw off for a HOT PINK Revolution Bag.that was definitely the highlight of my weekend!!! I didnt get one, but thanks Emily for making some killer trophies! Theyre beautiful.

Thanks to my wonderful caddie Jamie who stuck with me all weekend, even through my not so good rounds. I had an absolute blast during that last round. Thanks for helping me FINALLY relax and just play golf!

Congrats to my Twisted Sister Courtney Peavy for her wineven after the rough start to the Sunday morning round! By the way, we would like to thank the men in the Walmart parking lot who supplied us with a Slim Jim and helped us unlock the car without breaking the window!

Congrats to Stephanie Cantrell for her first ever ace!!! Great shot, chica! Hope you enjoy the TWISTED FLYER gear!

Hope to see yall in Tulsa for the 2006 Amateur World Championships in July. Also, look forward to hearing details soon about the upcoming all ladies tourney that we will be hosting in Oklahoma in September!!!!!

And you're sure you're not a cheerleader Melissa? And did you mention to Kevin on the way back that the Cubs lost 16-2 and 9-0 this weekend? :)

Kat enjoyed the weekend, despite her own baby-induced struggles. Thanks again to Vinnie and Ed for having this event, and making sure the women are first and foremost its focus. The TWC will only get better and it's starting from a high point from the get-go.

Congrats to Mel and Emily for winning the USWGC spots.

I had the best laugh also when I heard Laura Coffea say . Being a caddie all u got to do is stay on my #$*&$! and keep your mouth shut.

There had to be as many people helping as playing. Big thanks to Vinnie, Ed and Laura for giving so much personal time for the ladies.
