Is there a way to order the individual molds of the rocs? I would like to try them all out but I cant find any molds other than your regular Rancho flat top dx roc...
any advice?

ebay
because with different molds there were different plastics
There are proto 8x rocs, proto super rocs, 8x, 9x, 10x, and 11x, 01's, 02's, 03's, 04's, 05's, and '06. Then with some of the individual runs there were different outcomes. There are some 11x rocs that had a poppy top.
plus if i am not mistaken, i think some of the molds are damaged.

Don't forget the San Marino and Ontario Rocs. Those were the earliest molds.

well anyone know where I can pick up a Ontario and a San Marino? I maybe ebay is the only way...
And suppose I find one on ebay. Would I want to purchase mint condition, or try to find a broken in one....?

well the '05 special blend rocs are made out of the ontario mold(even though it says RC on the back)

it depends on how stable of roc you want. new 180g big bird san marinos (newer mold) are the best rocs ever IMO.

If you have a Play it Again Sports in you area, you may want to check there. You may be able to get an older mold there. It depends on what you are looking for. A "seasoned" Roc is certainly a beautiful thing!

You can get SM or Ontario's off eBay. Mark at discgolfvalues.com has both. I think Zonedriven has some of the Ontario Hero Roc's.
I've thrown them all and prefer the '05 blue 180g SB Roc.
Don't forget there was the smaller diameter Roc first, like a XD with a bead. Now, it's the Classic Roc.

Andrew- Go with the DX Rancho ROC ($6-8) or the KC Pro ($9-12) or a Champ ROC (due out March 1, 2006 and they'll be around $30).
The San Marinos and Ontarios are a waste of money unless you are a collector......

If you prefer a less (over)stable Roc, rather than spend $ on San Marinos just buy Coyotes. The Coyote is a great disc.
