Good day for disc golf. An overwhelming 5 people showed up and Jamie(calie) beat LT and Jimmy by a stroke to take the spoils. He talked a lot of trash as expected.....so I paid him back at Cat Hollow. LT(calie)takes first at -12(40 big ones) to split with myself but the guy who runs the mini takes the CTP(13x$5) on the last throw of CTP with an ace.

Wasn't a total wash for me today either. Went to Cat Hollow again for the 4th time in 5 weeks for the 2:30 mini. Got first, only 5 players were there so I got 25 dollars. Waterboy returned a teerex to Jimmy this morning. Been in the water for a while. Black all over the bottom. Jimmy threw it once on hole 4 then decided to try it again on hole 7. Worked out pretty well. He aced 7 into the wind.(by the way he was wondering how much the ace pot is on Sunday?). Only 3 of us showed up...Water, LT, and Jimmy. Jimmy was Callie and hit it on his first and only drive. I've never seen a guy do a double back flip with a half twist on the disc golf course until today!. We all three paid $10 entry but weren't sure how the entry is split. We paid 5(payout), 2(acepot), 2(ctp), and $1(club). Jimmy has the card and the $9 for Ware or Lala for club and acepot. He said he can wait on the check...as long as its there on Wednesday(just kidding). It was a beautiful ace...we were calling it all the way. The South Austin Club was there playing before us and saw it as well!

The club is holding $198 of Sunday's ace funds - the other $9 will also go to Jimmy. Ed Miller has the remainder of the ace pot & I put a call in to him about turning over the funds to Jimmy on Wednesday. Jimmy will need to verify the amount recieved from Ed with me so I can reflect payment on the club books. Sunday's ace pot will now roll to the couse we play each week - other than Lago Sundays. We will continue $10 entry fees - $5 payout, $2 CTP. $3 ace (except Wilco where we pay $2 ace $1 green fees)

We were at Lago Sunday & it looked fine - ask Ed & JP, maybe I'm wrong. There were a host of buzzards hanging around the pool & Edman wouldn't go with me too see if there was a bloated dead body, but the lake was down & no dead fish.

County called me today...wanting to know "WHO IS RUNNING A TOURNAMENT AT Wilco?"
They state "disc golfer's have a tainted name with them and we need to follow the rules like everyone else"
They want to know when and who is doing this.
I told them a group of golfers that rotate sign up float area course and have mini's (No names givin) but they are going to try and catch them playing every Sunday for a while and confront the individuals with the rules.
If we want to continue doing wilco someone will have to work with the county.
I am sure they want 10% and dates when Wilco will be used.
The county work saw Russel receiving money and told his boss of the payout.
SO........................now yah all know

I am starting to think a little letter to some county / state reps about "WHERE IS MY TAX DOLLAR GOING" is the way to go.
They don't charge walkers
They don't charge people kicking a ball around on the grass.
But a golfer gets to pay a dollar everytime the plays and if your organize some friends to play...you got to pay the dollar and %10
Good example: 80 people at a tournament
$1 for each player each day 80 times $1,then times 2 days (total $160)
$30 each player to play the weekend times %10 (total $240)
total for county $400.
Iwant to rent a soccer feild...county charges $100 and another $50 to line field.
total $150 for the day.
20 soccer players with sitting stands for another 500 people watching....hmmm....the disc golf is bent over holding his ankles :D

I have spoken with the Williamson County Parks Department & we're set to run our 1st & 3rd Sundays @ Wilco - $1 per player to cash box (like always). This Sunday there's a large Labor Day soccer tournament & we've been asked not to park in our regular spots by the fields, but across the street. This seems like a simple enough request. I believe if you are standing under the flags the parking they want us to use is to the right and towards the main road. Where we parked when we installed the baskets.

Use the same directions in getting to the Resort Course from Austin, (FM1431 to Lago Vista then left on Lohman's then Right on Boggy Ford), but after baring left at the Y on Boggy Ford Rd to Highland Lakes Dr. take the first right on National Dr. Take National all the way to the end where it T's into Lake Front Dr. Take a right and then the second left on Arrowhead Point. The park is at the end of the street. Tee box # 1 is on the right by the park entrance
