I've read all about the basic dye techniques on Blake's site, and I've googled them as well... but so far I haven't really found anything that has given me any modicum of real control over the dye job.

For example: Yesterday I saw a CE Valk with an intricate half candycane/half wrapping paper design. It was obviously done with rit-dye, the way that the colors seemed to sort of spread at the edges gave me that impression.

So I'm curious whether or not anybody knows of the methods for gaining such control?

My main concern, being somebody that loves to draw and does so decently, is whether or not there is a sort of marker that sticks well and is permanent like rit-dye that would give me the control to do some really nice things with my discs.
