I was looking through my glow bag recently and a couple of questions occurred to me.

I should qualify this by going ahead and saying that (1) most of my glow discs are discs I found and couldn't return or bought used for very cheap, so the selection ain't great, and (2) I happen to like the Lightning Upshot 2 mold, as it is much like an aviar with a shallower rim and the main thing I dislike about aviars is the depth of the rim.

Question 1: Does anyone know for certain whether there have ever been Lightning Glow U-2 Prostyles? (And if so, both whether the plastic is as soft and grippy yet durable as the regular U-2 prostyles and where I might could get hold of one if it is?)

Question 2: I know there are a few people out there who still throw or used to throw Lightning...anyone else ever notice that a few of their molds, mostly ones that are essentially midranges (#2 Driver and I think he #4 Hookshot come to mind), will sometimes come in a really stiff, translucent glow plastic that actually seems more durable than anything available in Prostyle? I'm just curious whether anyone else has noticed this since I did have a couple of prostyle discs a while back and even given how much less I play glow, my #2 Driver seems to be holding up better. Could have more to do with the type of shots I use it for, though.

Bob,
You probably wont be able to find too many CURRENT pdga members to respond who know much about the past, present or future lightning stuff.
I would try Steve at lightning for your ??? , but make sure you call him early in the day ;)

You're right, I quit using Lightning back in 1989 when they we're still the COOL airplane stamps. The Spitfire was the one I liked. I used the P.38 when I first started playing, which is probably the only Lightning disc worth collecting.
