This is Tim "Shade" Hogg TD for the "TPC" 2006 at Still Waters Farm in Govan, SC. Our tourney is scheduled for the last weekend in February. A list of "Qualifiers" will be posted here and possibly on the SCDGO.net web site as soon as the season ending Tupelo Bay tourney results are available to be included in the final SCDGO Series data. As of now, qualifiers include any player that finished in the top five (yearly point totals)in any of the six divisions plus all players that earned a top three finish (in the six divisions)in any of the 17 SCDGO Series tourneys in 2005. Other "invitations" will be issued as soon as these spots are filled. All players who qualify and are interested in playing are asked to make contact with me by January 10th at the latest. I'n looking forward to hearing from you. Thanks!!!

so will Tupelo bay be included in the points race?

The Tupelo Bay is the 17th event shade refers to. You can check the site at SCDGO.net
The scores listed for the Tupelo bay event seem incomplete. I know I saw a couple dudes there that are not listed in the scores. One of them I thought won his division and he is not listed. I would think that the results will be included in the SCDGO stuff after they are finalized.
I saw an intermediate there all weekend who is not included in the scores on pdga.com. Greg "One Putt" Thompson, representing Mt Pleasant!

some grandmasters were not listed, this was an informal update from the listing that Pat posted middle of last week.
A more accurate results tally may get done soon, but probably not before Christmas.

Tupelo Bay is the 17th tourney. Players who finished in the top 5 for the SCDGO yearly event will qualify (total yrly points). Players who finished in the top 3 of any of the 6 division will also qualify for the TPC. If you d :)o not find yourself in any of these positions, you may still have a chance to play in the TPC. You will need to contact Shade via e-mail with your qualifications to play in the TPC. I will post Shades e-mail address next week.
Jonas don't forget the chips. See you there.
Shade here! We now have the results from Myrtle Beach(Thanks Pat and DC). I will formulate the list of qualified players today and post the names by Monday at the latest. I will send the list to Dave Cannon for posting on the SCDGO web site (scdgo.net). Please notify me by email (thog9999@hotmail.com) or phone (803) 300-4762 by January 15th if you qualify and are intested in playing in the TPC 2006. "Non- qualified" players may still have a chance to play depending on your credentials and the number of spots available. Also, we still have a few rooms at the Lodge available and plenty of camping...Thanks!!!
Shade again. The formate for the "TPC" has been decided. If space allows, we will offer Intermediate Am and Intermediate Womens Divisions. Everyone will play four rounds of 18 holes. The setup lengths progress from the shortest (Green) to the longest (Gold). Open Pro, Pro Master, and Advanced Am players will play Round One from the Blue Tees, followed by Rounds Two, Three and Four from the Golds. Advanced Masters will play Round One from the White Tees, Round Two and Three from the Blues, then Round Four from the Golds. Intermediate Ams, Advanced Grand Masters, and Advanced Women will play Round One from the Reds, Rounds Two and Three from the Whites, then Round Four from the Blues. Intermediate Women will play Round One from the Greens, Rounds Two and Three from the Reds, the Round Four from the Whites. Everyone is welcome to come out at anytime for practice rounds. We usually play doubles or some other format on Saturday at 10:30 am if you would like to join us. We will announce our "Ice Bowl" date on Friday.

"TPC 2006"; After a preliminary study of the 2005 tourney results, based on the number of potentially qualified players, I believe I'll need to modify the qualifying criteria. I'll work on it tonight and post the results asap...

Hopefully I am qualified for this event so I can have a chance to play there again.
Shade here! "After further review", the TPC qualifying and selection committee has decided to extend invitations to the players who earned the top ten point totals for 2005 in each of the six divisions covered by the SCDGO Series instead of the previously noted selection format (sorry for any inconvenience or confusion). Additional invitations will be awarded for these divisions as well as to players who played in the Intermediate and Women's Intermediate Divisions in PDGA sanctioned tournaments held in South Carolina in 2005. All players who do qualify (top ten) and wish to play must respond by phone or email by February 1st. All qualified players who do not respond by that date will relinquish their spots. These spots will then be awarded to otherwise non-qualified players on a first come first served bases. All entry fees must be received by February 15th, no exceptions. The 2006 Tournament Players Championship will be held on Saturday and Sunday, February 25th and 26th. Please help us get the latest word out to those who may not have internet access. We dont want anyone to be left out
One additional note, The Ice Bowl at Still Waters this year will be held on Sunday, February 12th at 10am. This will be a great opportunity for all "TPC" players to practice the various course setups. I will post more info soon. Contact Shade at (803)300-4762 for more info.

Yes I agree Mark is a special person.
Just a reminder. Govan Ice Bowl is this Sunday, Feb 12th.
Some holes have changes, good opportunity to practice before the TPC in 2 weeks. The Govan ladies will prepare chili and dessert for lunch. $20.00 entry, this includes lunch.
Just a short note from Govan. Sunday, February 12th - Our Ice Bowl 2006 raised canned goods, clothes, and over $250 for the Ashleigh Place of Blackville, SC. I want to thank all the disc golfers for their very generous support and especially the LODGE members for helping run the tournament.
Reminder- The 'TPC' at Govan is less than two weeks away. We still have plenty of openings. Please access the flyer at
discgolfillustrated.com (http://www.discgolfillustrated.com) for more information.

That would be my dream come true. We practice putt in the backyard sometimes as long as no neighbors are watching. It is wierd, like her throwing hand is just a claw with no ability to steer the disc. She may just need a better teacher. :)

Any Results?
How did Billy Crump do?

Feb 27 2006, 07:44 AM
Weather nasty on Saturday (cold rain all day). Beautiful Sunday, but windy. It was too bad that it was so rainy on Saturday that we couldn't even enjoy the fact that it wasn't blowing like crazy! The food and the course were terrific at all times.
Rene Granados, Zack Rogers, Michael Jo, and David Cote in that order in Open.
Billy Crump won Masters, with Dave Cannon in second and Mel Shuman third.
Dave Wheeler in Advanced.
Joey Johnson, Mike Norris, and Connor Thompson in Intermediate.
James Stevenson won in Advanced Masters, followed by Brent Jarrett, Rick Watson, and Mitch Gaskill.
Nancy Norton won going away in Advanced Women, with Jenn Hubbuch and Missy Hutto second and third. Nancy also was presented with the Most Improved Disc Golfer trophy from discgolfillustrated.com.
