Does anyone know of some software that can be used for disc golf leagues/tournaments?
I am tired of entering everything by hand. I would like to have it all posted on our website but also need to have a printable version for the course.
I am also not as fluent as I would like to be in Excel so I am not sure as how to get the spreadsheet to do what I would like as well.
Thanks in advance,

Visit DGU (http://www.discgolfunited.com) for running a handicap league.

There are several programs out. I have one and can e-mail it to you check your PM. gnduke also has a good one that lends itself to league play, but mine does some things his doesn't, so you might want to see both.
With mine, if you enter the PDGA membership it will fill in player info based on PDGA number. It creates seperate score sheets for different divisions and will calculate points. It also distributes the payout and determines ties. Some features I am thinging of include determining an estimated round rating.

It's updated with the Texas Players list, but is easily updated with the electronic list the PDGA sends TDs.
You have to move the PDGA number column to the first column and paste it into the plis tab.
Grab the current year version and read the instructions.

Hey Gary,
I have been playing with your abacus, which I think is a fantastic tool. It never ceases to amaze me the things one can do with Excel. A few questions...
First , is this PDGA electronic members list available to anyone, or just TD's?
Next, I have entered most of the results from a tourney this year that I did the TD report for. One of the first things I noticed was that on the Reg page, the 'Yes' entries were red and a few here and there were bold-red. Is there a correction that needs to be made somewhere?
Also, how customizable are the Div pages? This tourney was only 3 rounds with a Final 9 for Open and Masters. And, the Juniors played the same course, all 3 rounds that the adults did. Could I take the Rd. 4 column out, so when they are printed..its looks a little more accurate? And, are you planning on integrating the Juniors Div. tab like the rest of them (with the ability to be added to flights, making it aprt of the bulk-sort upload, more than 2 rounds on the page, etc.)?
I have only entered 2 rds. at this point. I want to deal with ties, a final 9 Rd. 4, later. Thanks for the help

Send me a copy (
[email protected]) and I'll take a look at it.
The PDGA players list is sent to TDs just prior to their event. I try to keep the version on the server as up to date as possible.
The Waiver field is set for red with some cells bold. It shouldn't be and I will correct it and update the file on the server. It is really a check-in field, so you can see quickly if any players have not checked in. It should be red for values of "No" only.
It has been used by a couple of TDs for three round with final 9 events. Use the R4 After Cut button on the event tab to sort after the final 9 scores are entered. How many divisions are in the final 9 don't matter.
The Junior pages are not automated so you can change them however you would like. There is not enough consistency in the way junior divisions are handled around here to make it feasible to standardize it. Often they play a different course at different times so they are not included in the automated flight counts.
