Does anybody know anything about this? I saw an add for it in the DGWN. I've tried really hard to gain some warmth to the ching skill shot but I just can't stand it. I need a portable basket too and since this is Christmas time :D:D

I hope it isn't insanely priced is all

I personally love putting on crappy baskets for practice as they REQUIRE you to putt well. I have a home made basket that if you don't hit just off center right (RHBH), the right distance up, it has no chance of sticking. You hit low, and it'll slide right through the basket, hit too hight, and it won't land in the basket. While it makes practice feel like you suck, when you get out on the course and are up against a disccatcher, you feel like you can hit anything.

To agree with you, however, I suppose putting against a tree would be good too as you never get that positive reinforcement of making one.....

Well, if you make one and get it stuck in a tree you are prolly 2M up anyways.

No D$ve, he's talking about the Mach Lite.

Inside back cover, DGWN #75.

10up, If your looking for a collapsable basket I'm sure the DGA is pretty sweet. I know the ching is nice too. I think the $199 shipped Lightning Basket (pg. 94 DGWN) is the best buy around by far. I personally think the DGA Mach New II for less than 300 plus S&H is a hot basket. But hard to beat 199 shipped and it breaks down pretty easy. I have seen these. The fab/weld/manufacture on the Lightning is great. Not pristine like DGA but very well made.

10up, I guess you got my email a couple weeks ago offering to send you a '91 Chains Avair.

The M-14 spits evrything. I mean probably 75% of the putts don't stick even in the sweet spot. I also like putting on OK baskets in pratice but lately I have been switching out the ones I have so I can practice on the same type of basket I will be putting on at an upcoming tournament. :D

Hey thanks for the info Mick, the lightning basket isn't really what I'm looking for though, I sent you a PM about the aviar :).
I guess I should have clarified, it is the Mach Lite that I'm talking about and still, try as I might I haven't been able to find out anything about it other than the add. I sent DGA an e-mail but as of yet no reply. Does anybody from there post on here I wonder??

I don't have my DGWN here with me, so I don't know if I'm talking about the same thing, but I got a DGA lite basket many years ago for Christmas.

If it's the same one, it's a great practice basket. It's a tad smaller than the regular Mach 3, but that's fine. The pipes are smaller and it isn't quite as tall. I added a few more chains just for fun. I think it's the best metal practice basket other than the portable course models.

That's definately NOT the same thing that I recieved years ago.

I also have a Ching basket. They work great for honing the old putting skills. Makes the Mach 3 look as big as a barn door.
