Either this hasn't been mentioned on here, or I overlooked it.
There is a new course that went in a couple of weeks ago in
North Irving...Harrington Park...on Valley View just west of
Belt Line.
It's only 9 holes right now, and fairly open, but I heard from a couple
of different people that there are plans to put 9 more in the woods
very soon. It plays up and down a fairly high hill (by Dallas
standards) and is pretty much all open, minimal trees.
Road and fenceline OB comes into play alot. It's ok...it could
use some design tweeking, imho. so much open space and
there are not any long holes...

I think Todd was going to shoot there today at lunch...I'll get some feedback from him...he drove by yesterday and said it was a very short course with just a few trees...10 baskets that he said could all be seen from the parking lot

Thats open alright but it is closer to work and can be fun on a windy day. I was woundering why they put these baskets in such a open field when there are some woods around the property but not much, maybe they dont own that property. It would be interesting to know what is going to happen to this park though.

Is that no Tee sign, but tees are marked with stakes?????
The problem with the old Victory park was that if you didn't know the course already, you could not find the holes.

nno numbers on the baskets. there are stakes marking the tee pads which helped us enough to play pretty smooth. they had put a single stake in the middle of the fairway on some of the holes. I s that supposed to be a mando or something? But all in all layed out very user friendly.

Finally got around to play the course today.
#160 on my list of courses played.
Not as bad as I thought it would be. Actually, other than no trees (there are a few trees BTW) the course was fun today. (it was kinda windy.
out of 9 holes, I was putting at 8 of them (I hit the top of the fence on #8 right next to the basket for my only 4)
It took two of us about 20 min to play the course. (we had already played Grapevine)
I saw a lady in a small red car play holes #1 and #2 then she left.
