I know this has been somewhat covered before, but wow. In the last week I have been experimenting with playing just with my wizards. I was flipping them at first, but driving a putter quickly forced me to throw smoother and pretty soon I was getting 325 feet straight as an arrow. My confidence at approaching has gone way up and I now am using putters for shots I never would have before. I'm finding I am way more accurate from 200 out now with a putter. Best part is that I am still shooting under par at my course. This isn't a long term method, but rather a training technique. I'm excited to add my full bag again and see how this has affected my game. Has anyone else tried this, If not I highly reccomend it.

I've tried this several times with similar results (e-wizards are a workhorse). Each time I do it my accuracy, snap and overall D increase. I still do this when I'm working on something or need to tune my drive up and It's nice to only carry 1 or 2 discs. On top of that, it's cool to outdrive somebody's high speed driver with a putter (shortest distance between two points is a strait line)..
Still, the thing I like most about using a putter I feel like it teaches you to be a complete player. It forces you to throw the course and take direct lines. I only wish it had helped my putting

I play our short course here in Carbondale with only putters all the time. I carry a stack of 5, drive all five and putt all too. It has helped both my drive, mid-range shots and putting immensely.
Occasionally I play the long course with putters too, and highly recommend it. It is great to have your short discs dialed, and once you know the full range of a putter, it will save you some strokes where you might overshoot with a mid-range disc.
I would also recommend getting some Gators and learning this disc too. It's a fantastic wind putter, and approach disc. Very stable, very dependable. Great for sidearm/forearm approaches and getting around or through obsticles. More stable than a putter, this disc can save your @ss when your in trouble or in difficult conditions -- and it's a good putter. I love it for short, sharp, hyser approach shots.
Taking any disc (x4-5) and throwing ONLY that disc for full rounds will help your game.
