I just bought a second "retreat getaway" house in in the beautiful region of East Tennessee. And right up the road from where I bought it lies the home of J-Bird, Tic Tac, and Tim Barr.
All are 1000 rated players (Tic Tac is at 999 but after great USDGC he will be well over 1000 next update) and with Kingsport having a population of only 44,000 people is this the winner of the smallest per capita city with largest number of 1000+players ??
I would put my money on it !!! ;)

Is the method of figureing out what town wins the award as incosistent as the method of figureing out player ratings?

Well, I was sure surprised when so many of my 1000 rated "darts" randomly hit the map in East Tennessee...

Indian Trail, NC. Population 20,480. World Champion Population: 2. 1000 Rated player population: 2.
Only 161 1000 rated players in the world, and 2 of them live in this little hamlet just south of Charlotte.
1000 rated players per capita: 1 per 10240.
Charlotte rocks!

this is the first thread startedby discndiciple that actually might have some meaning.
That's still a big might though.
Yeah I know many were senseless fun Threads I started but here a a few other "meaningless" Threads Puke that might jostle that noggin of yours :
1."Is the Monster a good forehand Roller ? "
2."Will increasing reach back hurt accuracy ?"
3."Is having alot of curl in your wrist necessary to throw far ? "
4."Just curious and somewhat perplexed about different putting forms "
5.Who are some of the PDGA Pros that have similarities to the top PGA Players ??
and a few other Threads I started that have "no meaning" according to you , Puke.
Oh,oh someone trying to be smart is now looking like a
dumbarse . And his first name rhymes with a messy putrid fluid that arises from the esophagus after a considerable consumption of alcholic beverage. ;)
Words of wisdom: If you can't say something good about someone else then just don't say anything at all.
Sincerely,

Might be worth checking on the sizes of Santa Cruz, CA and Grass Valley, CA. Not sure how many 1000+ players are in these towns, but I'll bet it's a lot more than average.

I think there might be some villages/towns in Sweden where there are two or three 1000 rated players.

OK. It doesn't seem there are as many 1000+ rated players in Santa Cruz as I thought.
And it turns out that two of the guys I thought lived in Grass Valley technically live in Nevada City (the even smaller town next door). And unfortunately Johnny Lissaman isn't 1000+ anymore.
1004 Jason Herm #15899 Grass Valley, CA, USA
1005 Geoff Lissaman #2007 Nevada City, CA, USA
1002 Ray Johnson #10355 Nevada City, CA, USA
1001 Gregg Barsby #15857 Grass Valley, CA, USA

Here's what I have for player counts with ratings 999 and above in different cities:
<table border="1"><tr><td> Bowling Green</td><td>KY</td><td>3
</td></tr><tr><td>Cincinnati</td><td>OH</td><td>2
</td></tr><tr><td>Clearwater</td><td>FL</td><td>2
</td></tr><tr><td>Emporia</td><td>KS</td><td>2
</td></tr><tr><td>Gainesville</td><td>FL</td><td>2
</td></tr><tr><td>Grass Valley</td><td>CA</td><td>2
</td></tr><tr><td>Helsinki</td><td>FN</td><td>2
</td></tr><tr><td>Indian Trail</td><td>NC</td><td>2
</td></tr><tr><td>Minneapolis</td><td>MN</td><td>2
</td></tr><tr><td>Nevada City</td><td>CA</td><td>2
</td></tr><tr><td>Orlando</td><td>FL</td><td>2
</td></tr><tr><td>Raleigh</td><td>NC</td><td>3
</td></tr><tr><td>San Diego</td><td>CA</td><td>3
</td></tr><tr><td>Skelleftea</td><td>SW</td><td>5
</td></tr><tr><td>Springfield</td><td>OR</td><td>2
</td></tr><tr><td>St Thomas</td><td>ON</td><td>3
</td></tr><tr><td> </tr></td></table>
I checked Skelleftea and its population is listed at 75,000. Anyone else is free to find the other populations. I'm guessing Indian Trail, Nevada City and Emporia might be in the running for top density?

Here in Emporia we only have about 5 people that even play in Tournaments.
