Many companies are that way too. You can call and get exact weights, dye jobs, etc.

There are many people addicted to e-bay, and other auction type services. I have friends that buy fish online where they are cheaper at the local pet shop.

Because people are idiots! Same reason people fucck up a 4 way stop. They're IDIOTS!

For the longest time, I only bought discs off of ebay. When I started, I would just call a shop or order online, and not be happy with what was shipped (too heavy, too light, too purple, too green, etc). I then started buying on ebay because I saw the disc before I bought it. Now, I have a good rapport with about 3 online vendors that will describe the disc to me over the phone, and sometimes email pics as well. Discsunlimited.net, discndatonline.com, and sunkingdiscs.com.

I have dealt with discsunlimited.net also. Great people. Good prices & selection. Also quick to ship.
I've also dealt with a dynamic discs ( ebay store (http://stores.ebay.com/Dynamic-Discs) ) he's a top notch seller.

My biggest beef with most ebay sellers is there outrageous shipping charges. $5.00 - $7.00 to ship something you will be paying $3.85 for at the most. Pissoff :)

I don't need my discs in 24 hrs. 2-3 day priority shipping is fine with me (which is $3.85)
If I NEED something that fast I'll go buy it locally.
Now if you price your discs to where disc price + shipping is still better than I can find it locally, then I guess that's OK.

They call it shipping and handling for a reason. You have to take the disc to the post office and wrap it up and address it (this is known as handling) then there is that 3.85 you speak of (this is known as shipping) and with gas prices as high as they are your lucky thats all they are charging is an extra dollar and 15 cents :D

Some people love the 24 hour overnight DHL shipping for $6. Comes with a tracking number and automatic insurance up to $100.

I especially like it b/c part of my fringe benefits at work is FREE overnight shipping. :)

What I have to say about that is you prolly work somewhere that gives you free overnight shipping and you are charging 6 dollars so you can make some extra money but still seem like you are cutting the customer a deal :eek:

Fuel prices are starting to be a factor. UPS charges a fuel surcharge now....

If people are willing to buy, then why not sell on e-bay. I have failed to why you would spend more than you would at a retailor though.

I've got alot of good merch from stores and companies not affilliated with ebay and you can't beat the personal touch of being able to call the dist. and talk with them...build repore and get notifications when more products are available...for simular prices.

i think a mint red one just went on ebay for over 100$. im pretty sure the ce gazelle with a non reflective star stamp came out a month earlier than the valk, but thats just splitting hairs.... :D ask tim selinske, he was selling them out of the innova trailer, that time period.

It is the best disc ever - orignal CE plastic that is not overstable! The "shape memory" is very strong.
