A new 9 hole course has been installed in North Smithfield RI ans was officially opened to the public on Sept 25. The course is over 3000 feet long and resides on the grounds of the North Smithfield High School. The course was built by Eagle Scout candidate Billy Hargreaves and is part of the curriculum at the high school physical education classes where it is being taught to all students of the high school via the EDGE program that was donated by the scout. The course design was approved by local area Disc Golf professionals to ensure a challenging and fun experience and is outfitted with brand new Innova Discatcher baskets, graphically enhanced Tee signs, and an oversized course outline at the beginning of the course. All are welcome to play as there is no charge to play here. The long hole is about 650' and the short hole is about 190'. It's well distributed between righthanded and lefthanded holes. If you're in the area,...don't miss it!
