For all those 10x and 11x KC Pro Teebird lovers out there, these bad boys are it. They are the perfect combination of both. Our local Innova sponsered pro had some prototypes (white and black) and they are so sweet. They feel super grippy and they are indestructable. They have a really nice flight. Kinda stable to overstable. But if you put some snap on 'em and keep 'em low, they fly on laser straight line. I can't wait til the production ones come out. I had been waiting and hoping something like the KC Pro Teebirds would come back, and now they have. Thank you disc golf gods!

Word. They sound sweet. I love both 10x and 11x's. Cant wait to get my hands on one.

Oct 20 2005, 11:58 AM
How can they be indestructable? haven't they only tested it for a couple of months? is the plastic more resiliant to damage than the SB Orc? the SB Orc.........while really nice in the grip department beats up faster than champion.

I would have to dissagree with that statement. I have thrown them into trees at point blank and they show no more damage than the champion. The SB discs are all champion plastic with an additive for grip. This from Dave himself.

I also disagree. I hit a boulder with my SB Orc and you can't even see a mark where it hit. Mine still shows some flashing on the rim and I've hit trees and other stuff for about a month.

Oct 20 2005, 01:11 PM
Any idea when these are coming out?

You'll have to beg [email protected] like the rest of us to start making them available to the public.

Oct 27 2005, 03:31 PM
I'm waiting on the firebirds too. I know the Wraiths and SL's will be nice, but I was about to get a firebird, and figured I'd wait until they got released in SB. Also have one of those teebirds comming; hopefully they really are limited to 25, and will be worth something in a few years. I'll wait until they come out in regular production to actually throw one :)

I agree, I remember them being kinda milky anyway, the SB Gremlin would be nice. That was a good disc that was different in the hand, in a good way.

got my star teebird today, and boy does it feel great. I have a stack of 10x teebirds that been steadily going through, and this disc really feels similar to them. I held it up to the a pretty bright lamp, and no light shines through, unlike the star rocs from 2005. As for how it flies; well, it's going to be hard not throwing it, but I think I'll wait until they get released into regular production.

Throw it. They are great. You won't be disappointed. The star sidewinder is sweet too... and I don't like the champion sidewinders.

Furthur
Oct 31 2005, 10:24 PM
After holding this plastic, I'll be getting a star sidewinder. I like the plastic more than the 05 SB Rocs! My only qualm with throwing this disc is the collectability of it; it was the first public issue star teebird, and may be worth something down the road. And as I understand, the regular issue of star teebirds should be pretty soon.

Oct 31 2005, 10:32 PM
I hear ya there. I haven't thrown my SB Orc from Tulsa and don't think I will. Now that they named them "Star" I find it may have increased in value as the disc says "Special Blend" on it :D
I will wait for regular production SB (oops Star) Teebirds & then buy one too throw.

Furthur

The teebirds are maked Special Blend (with an SB on the back with a pen). Thank they'll write something different on the back? Probably just have to wait and see.

Star discs are now being marked with an "S" in front of the disc model. As in S-TB or S.SW.

Nov 01 2005, 03:24 PM
I got two of the black ones and I dont think Im gonna throw them either. NOT cuz of the collectability factor but because I dont wanna throw a black disc.

So Cal still has Star TeeBirds and Star Sidewinders available. These are INNColor designs supporting the So Cal Championships and are from the initial test runs of these discs. All discs have the "SB" lettering on the back.

Not sure. Mark brought a white and a blue SBSW to Vegas this weekend. Both were SB plastic. Wisecup had a SB Wraith, that was sweet.

The white one was raffled off. I have the blue one and it's a solid color, lighter blue than the SB Orc.
