i went to sunday the 23 and didnt see anything about disc golf

I watched it this past Sunday thinking it was on then and they announced what would be on next week...The US Disc Golf Championship. Should be pretty sweet, not bad when millions get exposed to our sport in such a short amount of time.

Soooo....USA Sunday 11am EDT???

I'll set my DVR for it!!!!

Hopefully I will be on the leadercard at that time, in our local Supertour stop.....

they were here on Saturday, but I would venture it will be at least 10 minutes. They interviewed people, shot lots of footage, and requested video and photos of the Awards. So hopefully it'll be a nice expose-EH?

maybe somebody could record it & upload the video to some disc golf websites(with enough bandwidth) for all to see??

I thought it was a pretty good segment, considering they were non-DG'ers. Definitely showed DG in a good light to a lot of viewers who had never heard of the game before..

I thought it was the best story about DG Ive ever seen on TV. If the golfers are behind us that should say alot to the common person who has never played.

This was a great 10 min piece on the USDGC. Does anyone have a recording of it? If so, would they share it?

I have it recorded on my computer, but I don't know how to share it with everybody. I have to cut it down to just the disc golf clip yet, too.

You will all love it! It is the best disc golf coverage I've ever seen on TV.

got it on DVR. They did a good job with the filters, to make old and new footage look like it was all filmed at the same time. I kinda wish they filmed some shots across the water on hole 5, not just the short holes. And did anyone else notice the blaring typo?

I got it on DVR as well :D

The "Klimo" error was the only part that was off. :o
But us DiscGolfers are the only ones that would notice that error.

EVERYTHING else was AWESOME publicity...right down to the commentators making a few putts in studio... :D

Woulda been nice if it were a new DISCatcher Pro though. But in general, great coverage of the sport, actually, not in general, in total.

Awesome exposure - great to see old guys who have never played go 5 for 6 from 15 feet.

How did those old dudes make those putts in the studio?!? They had to have had some coaching! :D

they aren't that old... And they are like, athletic and stuff... probably more so than most of us...

and that studio may look like it's a 30 footer, but it's probably closer to 12 feet.

The recorded segment was very well done. Interesting note that they waited around for over an hour to do the interview with Harold but only used a couple of seconds :). Also almost no shots of the lead group. All in all thought the recorded segment was well done. I wanted to see them talk about comparitive distances rather than just disc/club selection.

The in-studio segment however was awful. "Frisbee Disc Golf"... boo. Maybe I'm sensative about it but we don't call it stick and ball golf.... They took a well produced segment that approached disc golf and a professional and growing sport and made it look bush-league with the in-studio segment. "Last time I played this I had a beer, a bandanna and a golden retriever..." Please...

Though I did like it and thought it was good PR.

A good buddy of mine is HUGE into ball golf. He's got a 3 handicap, competes in USGA qualifiers, belongs to a country club, and watches the Golf Channel and tournaments on TV pretty much every waking moment. I forwarded him the link to the clip and he commented that it was some nice press for our sport. However, he was dismayed that they had Tim Rosefort (the guy that made the "beer, bandana, golden retriever" quip) tossing putts at the end. According to my buddy, Tim is a "first rate A#1 Jack -A#@"

I wasn't going to buy this video b/c of all the bad reviews but this review shreds it so hard now I just have to see just how bad it really is. :eek:

It was great how excited the non-Tim Rosefort fellow was. After he hit those three putts, I bet he went on over to Gotta Go Gotta Throw and bought the USDGC DVD, pre-ordered the MSDGC DVD and got himself some putters so he could can those from 22 feet.

We've got another convert in that fellow!

I didnt know it was gonna be on, but I was watching PGA Tour Sunday like I do every week now. It had me standing up yelling at the TV in amazement. I was so focused on it being on TV I didnt notice the typo's. It was a great piece!!

It was a great segment. I really enjoyed the interviews. The disc golf gentlemen represented the sport extremely well.

I think we should all send PGA Tour Sunday an email and thank them for the support! It might pay off in the future..
