The different rocs have different stabilities
a couple of them are in different molds and some version's plastic is tweaked.
If you want a 10x or earlier, you will be paying a pretty penny. Just get an 11x and learn how to throw it.

I have thrown 2 kinds of 11x. One was very overstable and a nice headwind midrange. The other was slightly overstable with good glide.
The 10x was similar to the 2nd 11x I mentioned but very stiff and durable. IMO, the 10x were at their best after beat up into a very predictable straight Roc.
I never threw the 9x but I heard that they were pretty overstable.
The 8x are the cream of the crop. Very grippy and just a hair overstable. Snap it flat and it will hold the line. Just an amazing disc all around.
The Proto KC Roc. Just like the 8x but with a bit more dome which means more glide.

yeah there were two different 11x
Poppy top and flat top
9x were supposed to be the most overstable, but it was butter for me(slight turnover/straight)

Not to be difficult, but....
The two 11X rocs were the blunt and sharp nosed rocs. The condition of the tops was/is most likely a function of how the plastic cools, while the nose changes were deliberate.
What about the big bird stamped rancho's. I know there are a few variations in the plastic and the shape of the top. I have an extremely flat one, but every other that i've seen has been domier. Anyone have insight into this?
