I cannot believe i just willingly gave away $20. I honestly cannot fathom that this DVD made it through post production. I payed $20 in hopes that i would get to see discgolf footage from the 2004 USDGC. I payed the money hoping for an edited version of highlights or at least well played rounds at winthrop gold. What i recieved was a sad pass-off as a middle school video-class project. I am truely dissapointed in this finished product.
Do your self a favor in advance and pass on this purchase. I would have had more enjoyment watching my $20 flush down the drain.

How did it compare to the 2003 one? (the only good part of which was the playoff!) I was pretty disapointed in that one myself.

I personally liked the 2004 USDGC video and especially liked the fresh and unique format that they used. It gets rather old seeing the same old tournament format with the same players time and time again. I would sooner use this video for marketing and promotion purposes than any other traditional tournament format video that I have. All in all, it is a good video in my humble opinion, and I would recommend it to others.

I have not seen the video but I have heard it doesn't have even the last round on it, just some random shots throughout the weekend.

Def. agree with what Brain and Eddie had to say.
From a production stand point, this is by far the best disc golf video ever made. If it did include the last round (which was not the fault of Innova or anyone that it didn't), this would be hands down the best video ever made.

it had good production but it is boring,

i used to manage a restaurant where running low labor was paramount. we cut our lunch dishwasher and had managers and the busser tag team it. one day during a busy lunch the dish pit was out of control and we were struggling to get plates back to the cooks and silver to the servers. prime time for an area director visit. when he walked past the dish debacle he stopped, looked at the dishes, then looked at me and burned these words forever into my brain, "is that your f!#$ing standard?!"
to quote one of our sport's most colorful characters from out west, "water seeks it's own level".
Thanks for the heads up. This sounds like some serious bull shizel. I was going to buy it. I had even been looking forward to it. It doesnt have any rounds? Has the USDGC abandoned covering the tournament in favor of promotional videos? Its fine to make a promo video but make the tournament video too! Marshall Street will be great.
The people buying this DVD dont want to see a promotional video. They want to see the best players in the world throwing discs.

Just got my copy last night. And the only thing that comes to mind is, worthless steaming pile of crap. This thing makes the 03 & 04 Worlds dvd's look like a masterpiece. The quality of the camera work is pretty good, but the content of the dvd is pretty much worthless. Whoever stated that this is a Promo video, pretty much hit the nail on the head. I've watched it once and will probably never watch it again.
I feel ripped off!!!
Whoever produced this, if you are reading this, I want my money back.

They work really well as a mini...
I've thrown a couple of upshots with it as well.
I need a refund to pay for the Marshall St. DVD...oh wait, those Marshall St. guys sent our house one for free...and it was well worth paying for. Little ironic.

I would love a refund.....Is that what might happen...Maybe a free copy of next year....
Either way..I will not buy next years usdgc dvd until a thread is started and someone gives a heads up....
BOOOOO on this DVD.
I kept it on in the pro shop one day and it was pretty good. The camera work was good, the commentary was well rehearsed, and it seemed a little more professionally edited than the 2003 USDGC DVD. What it didn't have was the drama of the 2004 event, with leaderboard and scores and stuff. It was more of an introduction to disc golf video. On a related note, Steve has almost finished certain sections of the 2005 MSDGC DVD -- bloopers, heartbreakers, best putts and best approach shots. Wow. I'm biased but it blows away last year's DVD. The music is funky and catchy and when people watch they fall into suspended animation, with flies going in and out of their gaping mouths. Then when a section finishes people go "Holy I'm a big potty mouth boy." There are going to be a lot of semi-famous disc golfers out there. Everywhere they go -- within our small, insular world of disc golf -- people will be saying, "Hey, aren't you on that Marshall Street video?" Yeah baby. Bard won't be able to go to the supermarket without getting his clothes ripped off. Frizzakmania will become the new Beatlemania, with throngs of squealing teenage girls marking their lies AFTER they miss the five-footer. I don't want to overreach or anything, but when this DVD comes out, our world is going to be a very different place.

I enjoyed the MSDGC video from last year...and the 05 will definitely be coming to my house as well.
In regards to the USDGC video, you are right...it is almost like a training video.
I think we need to start a petition to get our money back...

I am going nuts with the editing. It is seriously coming together and if anyone had just hit a decent putt, we'd have a darn good DVD. Jason and I are now trying to hit putts from 38 feet so we can splice it together with Walt or Schwebbie's putting motion and we should be all set.
