Hi everyone,
I am very excited to announce the new Photon Glo line up for Fall 2005. We are now running the BUZZZ, hard CHALLENGER & TRACKER in Photon Glo plastic. The Photon Glo XL and STRATUS will round out the line in 2005.
Look for these models to become available at your local disc golf retailer in the next couple of weeks.
Just remember, Photon Glo plastic requires a strong light source for 10 mins. or so to fully charge and glow for an entire round. Flash bulbs and black lights won't give enough charge; try a spotlight or sitting them on your headlights before going out. With that they should glow for at least 2 hours.
Will charging with a blacklight work at all? I've only been to one glow event, and nobody had discraft, so that's why I ask. We all just charged up our discs with a pocket sized blacklight before everythrow.
What is this plastic like? like traditional plastic? Is it z-ish? What is the release date?

Thanks for bringing me the hard glow Challenger I have been groveling for for a while.
I second that!!! If they feel like I think they will I may start using these as my main putters too :D
Thanks Keith.......Now I can have a bag full of Discraft for the glow round at Mystic :D
:: Cross Post Warning ::
I once bought a photon glow magnet, but the pastic was so soft that the chains chewed it up really really fast. One hit took a gouge out about 1/4" x 2" and it never flew right after that.
So, has the durability of photon glo been improved in the last year or so??? We have too many trees around here for softer plastics.
Really? My photon glo magnet is hard and durable. Weird.

I gave one to Kyle and it has lasted almost a year. Everything Photon that I've seen (except the soft challenger) has been quite hard and durable.

I've had at least 3 glo magnets, and all were hard and stiff. Very accurate, but hard and stiff. Too stiff for me to use as my main putter normally (discs roll at DeLa! I use a beat Elite X APX), but I do use a 170-172 as my main glo putter. Can't wait for glo season, almost here.
Actually, I do have a glo Putt'r that is pretty sick. Not quite as accurate for me as a magnet, but softer, more understable, and more glide. You don't have to snap it too hard to sink a 25-30 ft. putt. But for me a hard magnet is more accurate, but definitely with less glide. I hate the soft magnets, too floppy fer me.
Hmmm, the glo Putt'r or glo Magnet for main glo putter...****, don't really want to carry both. Might have to.
Sigh. Lates, -Eric K
P.S. Why is it that I can sink 15 of 15 from 15 ft. always, then miss another one today on hole 8?
I am getting goosebumps...Glo Trackers, Buzzzz.....there goes my budget again. I will have to stop eating for a few weeks.

Yep, they are tacky and pretty stiff. Gonna throw em tonight. I just want a photon soft magnet to putt with.

Im going to need to check these out. Im loving the CTs right now but figure I will give these a try for upshots and putting as well because the Photon glow plastic seems to hold up better and break in slower then the Pro D.

Will the new photon plastic be ran in the Magnet mold?
Hard/grippy magnets are the bomb!

More overstable out of the box than the Z.

This is true but it will become seasoned and less stable then the Z which is what I assume most people are looking for (well maybe its just me but hey). I cant wait to get a hold of some of these and the Challengers to test out. The photon plastic seasons much better then the Pro D :D
