Sounds like you want to know the points, not about the waitlist. MA1-1000 points automatic invite. MA1 top 25% of state 400 min. After looking at your state it looks like you need to get the 1000 if you want the automatic invite. Otherwise, you need to get on the first waiting list, if you can.

Not true - I wouldn't take that approach with Tulsa. The Oklahoma and Texas tournaments have been huge this year b/c people are trying to get into Tulsa Worlds.

Reasons not to wait
1. Tulsa is centrally located and cheaper to get to the many places
2. Texas and Oklahoma plan on representing.
3. Due to the rule that only 4 courses should be used in one division, it makes the field somewhat limited.
4. Waiting just creates problems for the TDs.

BTW - Are you really waiting to play Tulsa Worlds Steve?

Yeah, I should have a pretty big ratings jump in the next 11 months! /msgboard/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

I will be in Tulsa, I automatically qualified halfway through the BG Am tournament (2200pts/2=1100 > 1000pts = auto invite). This Worlds will probably be the first to fill.

Where I live now I will not have too far to travel. However if I move next spring I could be a long ways away. Either way, I will be there.

Thanks for correcting me Steve, I only receieved 1900 pts at BG.

As for distance, I just won the Alabama State Distance Championship this weekend (won in a playoff). In a nasty right to left tailwind where people were having trouble getting Valkries to turn over, I threw 153yds (459ft). The top Open throw was 161yds (483ft), so I was not too far behind them.

So I will be seeing you in the distance contest. Maybe on the golf course, but I just had the biggest ratings spread I have ever seen. 844 first round, and a 947 second round. Different courses, but it was night and day golf.

Are you trying to make your case for Bagger-of-the-Year? If so, I'm pretty sure you'll win it hands down. You were one of only 2 baggers to have a +1000 rated round at that tourney. You also beat 2nd place by 8 strokes and probably would've cashed in open. Several people that you beat in previous tournaments are now cashing in OPEN.

We'll just have to wait and see. There are some baggers that are working on top 5 finishes in Adv. at major tourneys for 3 straight years. Although, they may not make the 2006 BOTY, they certainly are still in the running for the Lifetime Bagger Achievement Award.

Well, for starters, the legend of Phillip Hall. Mr. Hall won his 1st adv. am event in 2002 and has never looked back. You can find him currently bagging in So. Nats. 4 years bagging in Adv. Am. that's going to get him some LGAA consideration.
I don't want to let the cat out of the bag too early but that is just a taste. More bagger profiles to come so stay tuned.

Coda would've won it hands down last year, but decided to move up and stay up, thereby disqualifying him. He had a good run though. But I think it was a smart move. He lost the chance at BOTY to make a shiitload of money in Pro. I guess he'd rather have cash than plastic, unlike most baggers.

twoputtok
Nov 03 2005, 02:28 PM
Both. Our goal is to have new equipment and upgrades to all of the current courses that will be used along with two new courses that should be going in before the end of the year.
We are still working on one additional new course but have some flow issues to resolve.

All of the courses that are in the ground now, should have pics and descriptions available on the web site (http://www.2006amworlds.org/) by the end of the month. As the new courses are added we will add all of their information along with pics and descriptions.

Our fundraising efforts have been going well but it takes time to aquire enough funds to buy multiple courses, tee signs, ect. Our timeline is to have all courses in and ready for play by April of 06. That will allow about 3 and a half months that people can plan time to try and play the ones they haven't seen. We will try to have some type of event to include all of the new courses between April and Worlds, in July.
