Iv'e lost a couple of discs and am going to get some more.

1. I need a new putter. I was thinking a wizard but want some others oppinions.

2. Need another mid range or two. Right now all im throwing is a pro kc rock. I want some thing understable probably

3. another few drivers. I currently use a sidewinder a beast and i have a firebird laying around somewhere but cant find it.

Im 13 years old so i don't have the biggest arm but I'm huge for my age. Ive thrown 300 before but only a few times.

I like my Wizards. Good putters. I have 5 of them now. I use only one when playing... a 171 Soft. The other 4 are used for my practice basket.
Only others I've used are a Omega Supersoft.... great putter but gets too soft too quick. I've also used a Rhyno, but I like that more for 100 foot in shots, not putting.

As far as distance drivers....I would recommend checking out Blakes new chart, see which power range you fall into, & then choose the longest range disc you can find.
The sidewinder is a range 5 power 3, so you're on the money there.

As far as what "I" would suggest.........I would go out & get a 167-170g DX Cheetah. You'll thank me later. Once you break this in a little bit you will be loving it.
(assuming RHBH) Throw it left, it will fade right and glide, once it slows down it goes back to the left. I've thrown this disc farther than I can get my sidewinder to go and it's much more predictable.
Again, it needs to be broke in a bit.

As far as mid? I throw my cheetah for those too. I also use my cheetah for tomahawks (great way to break it in quicker).
You can't go wrong with this disc. Spend $10, if you don't like it I'll buy it from you. :D

I did just buy a KC Pro Roc (waiting for it too be shipped) because everyone wets themselves over it & I had to try it.

Oh one more.
An honorable mention to my 168g JLS. That disc will just glide & glide forever. I've seen new players throw this thing 300 feet.
It's somewhat unforgiving though. If you start it going the wrong direction then all that extra glide is going to do is take you further away from your target.
Good disc, but I don't trust it (or myself to throw it properly)

putter: wizard or challenger

midrange: coyote, buzz, glide, or a nicely beat dx roc

driver: blake's new list is very helpful, i would say a viking, xs, or xl

samyouknowwho,
If you are only looking for 3 discs, these are my recommendations and why:

Putter - I would say wizard or aviar. JK aviar, KC Aviar, or Med-hard wizard.

Midrange: I love Coyote's, but my new flat top crystal buzz is becomming my goto midrange. Its straight ALL THE TIME, wind or no wind.

Driver: TEEBIRD, everyone needs a teebird. My goto driver. If you are looking for distance, get a CFR Wraith. Its a great disc and helps raise money for 06 Worlds.

Hope this helps, $0.02

Sam,

1. Wizard is a great choice. I prefer the stiff ones (proto wizard is my putter of choice)

2. I highly reccomend the Coyote. It is very versatille and holds a fantastic straight or anhyzer line. The buzz is great also and holds a hyzer better than the coyote.

3. Personal preference here. If you're maxing out at 300', I'd avoid the high tech fast overstable stuff. At your stage I'd go with dx or pro teebird, elite x XL, wildcat or leopard.
A CFR Wraith in my mind is too overstable for you at this point. (wait til you're throwing 425 then get one)

thanks to yall,

I went with a wizard for putter
I got a wolf for a mid range.- No one suggested this but my friend has one of these and i threw it a few times and was really impressed
I got a valkyrie and a leapord for drivers.

I hate to pee in your Wheaties but.........

.........I've found the wolf to be highly inconsistent.

When I first threw a wolf I was amazed how far and accurate I could throw it.Then after about 20 throws it started turning over badly. I tried to compensate with more hyzer. The problem was it became highly unpredictable. I think if you throw a touch of wind into the mix all bets are off.

Maybe you'll have better luck with yours.......but when you don't.... get a coyote it is the most controllable versatille midrange there is.

Well. The Wolf is a turnover disc. It's rated -4 on the highspeed turn scale.
I like my Wolf, still have it, don't always take it though. What I didn't like is the unpredictable glide that it has. Get a little wind under it & off she goes.......
I also didn't like the softness of the disc, a little too soft.

On a side note. My mothers favorite disc is a Wolf. :D

My favorite turnover disc is a Innova Moray (no longer made), probably similar to a Stingray. Love it for right turning shots, it stays right & rarely flexes back left at the end. Hope I never ever lose it.

Good choices; I'm not sure about the wolf. It depends what you want it for. I never liked my wolf..felt weird in my hand.
