Hello everyone,

The Midnight Z-Buzzz is now available at Sportdiscs.com (http://www.sportdiscs.com) and they look great. They are a 2005 Players Cup (http://www.playerscup.org) fundraiser, have a very flat top and are selling for only $15.00. Get yours while they last!

Keith,
Do you know what disc was supplied from Discraft to the Washington State Tourney in 2002. I just came across one but there is nothing saying what it is. Just that it is Discraft. This looks like a z magnet. Could that be what it is? Thanks,
Tony

Is there anything "special" about this other than being a black Z-Buzz (i.e. special plastic, modified mold, etc.)? I really like the way they look, but would have a hard time justifying buying one if they really weren't any different than a stock Z-Buzz. Thanks for any information any of y'all out there have.

Black is special, the stamp is special, sales support the Players Cup (one of the largest payouts ever!), and Keith says they have flat tops ... so they should be awesome fliers. Is that enough special information?
If you don't like black, don't like unique looking cool discs, don't collect, don't want to support one of the newest largest tourneys to come along in years, and don't like ******* flat top buzzz discs, you probably don't want one.
Hmmm ... or are you just looking for someone to tell you you need one? YOU NEED ONE! ;)

It's the same price as a "stock" Z-Buzzz. It's the inaugural Player's Cup. I think i'll get several. :p

Hello all,

DSpro: No, we just ran the Midnight Z-Buzzz and didn't have them at USADGC.

Gumbo: You've got a PM.

CE: We started with only 500 and they are already going fast! Depending how quick they go will determine if a second run will be in order.

These discs will only be available at Sportdiscs.com (http://www.sportdiscs.com) & SunKingDiscs.com (http://www.sunkingdiscs.com).

Id say since they are a fundraiser for The Playas Cup you would have to buy them threw Discraft although Sun Kind Discs may have them since they are also a title sponsor of The Playas Cup :D

I need to get me some of these so if I ever run out of 1st Runs ill still have some flat tops to throw :D

Easy, Boneman. I was just trying to get some more information on these things. In fact, I do collect discs. But before I buy one, I am trying to evaluate if it will be a good investment. These are too heavy for me to throw, but if I think they will go up in price (double?) after 5-10 years, then perhaps I will buy a few. I'm on the fence right now, especially since I just purchased some Midnight Flyers recently, and don't have a ton of $$$ to put into my collection right now.

Midnight Flyers are a good investment. I picked up 8 or 9 brand new ones from a guy in Hawaii 5 years ago. He needed $$ to repair his car, and let them go CHEAP(like $8 or $10each!)

Back to the Midnight Z-Buzzz's.......can't wait until they arrive. www.sportdiscs.com (http://www.sportdiscs.com) made it purdy eazy! :D

Buzzz's

The only discs fetching more then champion Rocs (first run Z-buzzz's) that people actually throw.

I have a 1st run in the closet and one in the bag, one of my new midnight buzzz's will go in the closet with the first run never to be thrown. I cannot wait until I get them.

Millz,

Later run flat top buzzz's fly just great and are nice and stable. You just have to find them and not trust online retailers so you can feel them for yourself.

Well not 2001 CE Rocs, but more recent years. 2003 and up.

I have heard of someone fetching as high as $75 for a 1st run Z-Buzzz on Ebay. (If true, it is probably because of automatic bidding programs, that out bid any prior bid, fighting against eachother).

But as supply of 1st Run Buzzz's shrinks, they could possibly hit triple digits in upcoming years.

:( "Still wondering where my midnight Buzzz's are, I should have paid for faster shipping" :(

I had a chance to get to know the Midnight Z Buzzz this weekend and is this thing sweeeeet! The grip is heavenly and the true flight path makes me think that my fresh stack of 1st Runs is, at least for now, safe. If anyone has been curious about early run Z Buzzz but hasn't had a chance to pick one up, these are a s close as you'll get for now.

Anyone have one of these yet? Do they fly like the first run, flat top overstable buzzz? or more like the standard production domey buzzz?

in other words, please give me a review of this disc. Surely someone got one to throw, not wall art. Discs are made to fly!!!!

I dont throw Buzz's but I used to own and throw a 172 first run that was a pretty stable flyer.I threw a Midnight Z last night, It was a 177 and flew Just a little more overstable which im guessing has to do with the difference in weight.so yeah Id say its close to first runs except much better looking, what a beautiful disc. They are black opaque, very grippy plastic and yes it is just as flat as the first runs and even has a little dish to it like my '01 Roc.

I almost ordered these from sportdiscs.com... but shipping was way too expensive! I went to sunking and shipping was cheaper and even added more discs...

no offense, but $10 to ship two discs ups ground is ridiculous, when i got $5 for 2-3 day from sun king usps.

For real, if you want what is essentially a 1st run Z-Buzzz, buy some of these Midnight Z-Buzzz's benefitting the 1st annual PLAYERS CUP!

possibly
a) they are only available on 'select' sites.
b) the shipping from sportdiscs is very high
c) they are black.......which is a very hard color to use in play which is what these "flat-tops" are for.

a) they are only available on 'select' sites.

but one of those sites is Sun King Discs (http://www.sunkingdiscs.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?) !

b) the shipping from sportdiscs is very high

So choose Sun King Discs (http://www.sunkingdiscs.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?) ...$6.50 straight on any order all the time! And quick, quick shipping.

c) they are black.......which is a very hard color to use in play which is what these "flat-tops" are for.

Why so difficult to use? Do you find black discs harder to find than other discs? Just curious.

Overall a very cool and very good disc. Everyone should have the chance to handle and throw one of these black beauties!

Oct 31 2005, 12:57 AM
of-course i find black discs harder to find. Especially when it is getting near dark.

Got to try out my new midnight buzzz over the weekend. Very nice. Similar to my lighter seasoned X-Wasp, but straighter overall. To the previous post about not being able to find a black disc....these are easy to find because they go EXACTLY where you throw them.
