OK, I just came across a disc with an invisible stamp that says "Washington State Series 2002 Downriver Open, Stilly Summer Classic, Lakewood Open, Windy River Open, Dalaiwood Open, Riverside Open" and a bunch of apples. It is a Discraft disc. Written on the rim is "39 out of 100" My question is... What is the disc? It is definately putter/approach but I dont throw Discraft so I dont know what it is. Please help.

sometimmes on the inside rim will tell you what disc it is.

I figured it would be there too but....no. It looks like a z magnet but there is no stamp indicating so.

I was thinking z magnet myself. Were challengers and apx ever made in z plastic? If not, it very well may be a magnet.

Possibly a putt'r too.

2002 was the first run for the z magnet. I saw one on e-bay but it is so hard to tell from the pic. Eventually someone will read this post who was at the tourney. Thanks,
Tony

Most Washington State series discs have been Innova. If it is a Discraft Scott Papa had something to do with it.
I think this is his email if you would like to contact him.

It's a Z-Magnet. I have one around here somewhere...

Thanks for the help. I'll be throwing it this weekend. Why was it discontinued? I was thinking that plastic doesnt like to stick in the chains.

I don't think it was discontinued, was it? I think you can still get Z-Magnets online.

I think you can still buy it at a bunch of places but Discraft isnt making it any more. It just wasnt popular for some reason.

Ahhh. I see.
Maybe try a Photon Glow Magnet? Those are the best that they currently make for driving off of the tee and long approaches. They have a sweet grip, too. Also, keep an eye out for the new D-Magnets in the reformulated D plastic. It's awesome.

Thanks for the advise. Whats the deal with the new D Magnet? Is it available? As far as putting goes I love my Soft Magnet but recently I have been putting with my Ching Juju in the supreme plastic. That thing is soooo gummy.

If you read the "Ask Keith M" thread, you'll read about the reformulated D-plastic, which they will be running magnets in (soon?). More grip, and nice feel.
