I just got it in the mail today. I ordered in the mid 160s but got it at 158. Only place I could throw it was around the neighborhood and could only safely throw it around 200 to 250 ft. this meaned i had to throw it kinda slow. Problem: If i through it flat it faded a lot. I know its an understable disc but is this normal at low speeds.
See my first post here. (http://www.pdga.com/msgboard/showflat.php?Cat=&Board=Technique&Number=358176&page=0&view=collapsed&sb=5&o=&fpart=3)
I have the exact same weight & it does the exact same thing. For me it's probably "noodle arm syndrome" as I can't get this disc to even start to go right (rhbh) :D
Although I have not thrown a Sidewinder as light as yours, I can say that it will fade left at low speeds. It is only understable at high speeds (if only throwing hard enough to throw 200-250 it could go left on you). If you get a chance to throw it full speed it should turn right for you. Its not a good short distance understable disc, but it is excellent for long right hand turns at higher speeds.
thanks ill get it on a course and try it out as soon as i get it off my neighbors roof.
my little bro launched it up there

Yeah, this is normal. The disc will fade to the left, no matter how hard or straight [or to the right] the shot starts/flies. Just take your time, learn the disc, and you will get to know where to aim it.
BTW, Sidewinders skip really good ... so leave yourself some room for the skip!
Shot my first ace with a 160g Sidewinder ... straight tunnel shot to a brief fade, skip, and in the basket. It was sweet.
