Does it mean anything? I had a 150 class before this which was very clear. This one lets light through, but it is very opaque, almost like holding a sheet of printer paper up to the sun.. I was thinking it could have to do with the Max Weight, but i have other max weight discs that are just as clear as the 150's.
any ideas?
BTW, i bought this disc from Rick B just last week for a friend of mine..
all of my Champ Stingrays are opaque (they are all at or near max weight).
they have stopped making Champ Stingrays too due to having to fail (X-out) 1 out of every 2 molded in candy plastic...
yea, i knew about the reject rate, but i was wondering if this opaque was a first run or something. i cant say ive ever seen a newer champion disc this opaque.
my buddy has an old viper CFR that he found with no name, mint condition, thats 100% opaque. it is a gold color, and i thought it was just a stiffer pro untill i saw the label on the bottom from the retailer that said CFR. the disc looks brand new, and even has the stickers on it, lucky bastard....

I have 7 or 8 Champ stingrays all opaque, all close to or max weight. I thought they were all like that. Some of them I have had since they came out.
Most all the CHamp Stingrays were Opaque.. Must have had to do with that being the only plastic that would work(although even that had a huge failure rate).

do you think it could have something to do with the weight additive? The heavyer discs must have needed alot of it since the rim is so thin. maybe that had somehting to do with it? i dont understand why the CFR viper would be opaque though.....

Is the Viper a GLO? All the Champion Stingrays are 1st runs I think, and they are all opaque. In lighter weight discs its not uncommon for them to be clear. I havent seen many lighter discs in opaque plastic, nor do I remember any light wieghts in the original CE. I think the majority of those were in clear plastic as well.

i have a star stamped ce stingray that is solid red. cant see anything through it.
: ) :
are you kidding or you mean Champion; not CE? (CE = "Champion Edition" which hasn't been made since 2002)
Viper isnt a glo, its a brownish gold with swirls in it, and i cant see though it at all.
