If CODA is not even eligible for ROY for 2005, how could he be eligible for 2010?

In the womens 2010 ROY I suspect Nicki Ross could win it in a runaway.

She is undefeated in her disc golf career winning multiple world am titles in landslides. She has dropped off the DG scene because of her academic pusuits. She received scholarships and playing pro would jeopardize them. By 2010 she'll most likely be Dr. Ross and return to dominating women's disc golf. I can't help but wonder how she would've faired in this year's Worlds against Des.

Even with her Dad coaching her every throw, there's no way Nikki would have caught Des.

Des smoked those courses.

Des definately shot extremely well and was head and shoulders above the field.

And while it's hard to debate hypothetical situations, I think you are dismissing Nicki's chances far too easily.

I believe Nicki's last tournament was am worlds where she won in a runaway over Valerie J. and Nicki was what 16 or 17 then?

While she maybe not be on the scene right now I believe her to be capable of shooting several 1000+ rated golf rounds possibly 990 ave for a week. I'm hoping in a couple years she'll be back to let her game speak for itself.

Btw, you should leave RR out of the conversation

and as for her coming back to the disc golfing scene, i dont see it.. Her dad didnt speak to highly on the disc golf family togther outside of the competition scene.. Unless she sneaks off i dont kno how her dad will feel about letting her go out and get "corrupted"..

The Disc Golf family is the best thing we have going for our sport IMO. Anyone who does not want to be a part of that isn't going to be much fun to be around anyways.

Give the man a break. There have been plenty of times that I have questioned whether I was doing the right thing or not when I took my 11 and 14 year old kids to tournaments that ended up being anything but family friendly.

It's not that Nikki's Dad is Amish, Quaker or a puritan or anything. He just pushes his kids really hard to excell.

I'm sure his wish for Nikki to be a doctor is far greater than any desire to see his daughter become world champion of a sport most people have never heard of. Not only would playing pro jeopardize her scholarships, I'm sure Rick feared it would be a distraction from her academic studies.

Anyway, you can't attribute her father's decisions (ie. caddying, coaching, withdrawal from DG) to Nikki. In 2010 she'll probably have her education about wrapped up and be capable of deciding whether she wants to add disc golf world champion to the list of her titles. (The doctor title pays way better)
