One of the important tasks that PDGA members and disc golfers
everywhere do for their community is to help make accurate course
information available at the Course Directory up at PDGA.com.

We would like you all to review and ask people in your area to review
the online course directory for accuracy, as we are gearing up to
publish the next printed edition of the PDGA Course Directory. If the
course updates and new courses are not in the database by Oct. 1st they
will not be in the 2006 Edition of the PDGA Course Directory.

Please go online and verify the course info at:

http://pdga.com/course

To update - when you pull up the course just click on "Update Course
Info" at the top for the slick update form. Put your name and a GOOD
email at the top, make the changes and then click the "Update" button
at the bottom of the form. It then comes to my desk to OK.

To add a new course just click on "Add New Course" at the top. First
make a note of all the information asked for, then go get the info
(from someone more closely connected if you have to) and come back and
pull up the "Add New Course" form. Put your name and a GOOD email at
the top, fill in all the info and click the "add new course" button at
the bottom. Boom - it comes to my desk to OK. I click "OK" on my
screen and the course gets inserted.

We have added a place to record the exact latitude and longitude for
each course. This allows us to link to a map with the star directly on
the 1st tee! More than 500 of the courses already have this GPS info
entered. Please check and try to get the GPS info entered for any
courses in your area.

The deadline for updates and new course submissions is Oct. 1st.

Thank you for your assistance in making the PDGA course directory a
valuable resource to the disc golf community.
