Ive noticed that your website seems to retain the info of whatever person was recently logged on. I had to go through my account info and delete the name and addresses of someone from Oklahoma because it kept changing the shipping address to his. This could cause someone to order something and have it shipped to someone else across the country, if they arent careful.

Good one there Sir TwoPutt! Dave is right we are still a few days ahead of the disc and want to ensure it is all good for you, the folks who are going to make this event special. After dealing with nerds all day and not getting the answers I wanted to hear from my server, I have decided to fire a few folks and enlist some folks who understand just how important this is to all of us. The site has been switched to a larger, more secure server and behind the scenes we are doing all of the little things it takes to get back up and running. You will still be able to see the site etc. just not the tempting apples that have caused the confusion...the code is good everywhere else.

OldTyme, the special blend means its made of a different mix of plastics (possibly some combination between pro and champ). They ran special blend champion rocs for the USDGC last year and I loved them. The plastic is pretty darn durable but has a gripier feel to it than champion. I hope these are the same blend. When did you say these would be shiped?

Throwing it for sure. I throw my special blend rocs all the time and those cost $25. Hopefully the orcs will measure up to the rocs. The SB rocs are definately my favorite plastic as far as feel and durability combined. It would be a crime not to throw them, although this would mean that many of the people that bought them are criminals.

Do with them what you will... There will be another stamp down the road. The # thing is definately for "the hangers" out there... as these truely are the first 500 official Special Blend Discs EVER other than the ROC. That's why we chose to launch with this stamp. Could mean something down the road... Innova always has something crazy up their sleeves... :Dmix that with the TDSA and it could mean... well, you shall see... :D

Mail me an OG "Special Blend (aka Ni@#$ S*fT) Orc" and I will breakdown the entire plan... :DSeriously though, Innova Champion Discs were kind enough to use this event as a TEST of the plastic, etc... Let's all get our hands on an 06 Orc and give some feedback! Remember every SB ORC sold helps put baskets in the ground where they weren't before. :) The next stamp is in the fine tuning stages and will showcase Oklahoma (as if what we have going on can fit on a disc! :D)

AS far as a white TeeBird goes you will be waiting a very smooth minute for sure... I do not claim to be an Innova expert but I can tell you of all the crazy things kicked around between both parties a white TeeBird was never in the mix in any form :D

The best advice I could give supporters of the event and the disc / plastic is... Get them... throw them for a minute and make some calls. If you like Special Blend let them know! If you don't like it let them know... that's why they are doing it for us... :D

I have never thrown an Orc, and have thought about picking up one of these SB's. The only innova driver I'm familiar with is the Champ. Beast...so how would it compare flight path? Currently I have a gap in my bag between my beast and my crush, would one of the SB Orcs fill it?

Why dont you buy one of each in the Pro Line plastic. You should be able to locate both of those real cheap. This way you get your hands on them and can truely test them instead of taking someones word from the message board.

And hey, if you dont like them, Im sure you have a few buddys that will throw them if you dont.

I would go with a Teebird for a straight distance driver. An Orc can be a straight distance driver if you have a big arm. For me it's close to the crush in stability. May be different for other people though. Orc will definitely fly further/faster than the Teebird. The wraith is sweet and I've seen people just bomb them, but it's unpredictable for me. You need to throw an sky annie to get max distance with a wraith, so i wouldn't say it's a straight driver.

I have a first run pro teebird, I just need to throw it more to be able to get max d out of it, it's only like 20 ft longer than my roc and wasp

I threw my SB Orc last night for the first time. Seemed to be more stable than the champion version. Held a nice long hyzer, very predictable. Drove with it 4 times and had three birdies. All of the holes were in excess of 300ft. I think it has gained a place in my bag. :D

One quick question. I believe I should of had one of the "first 500" discs.
Now....is that the first 500 SB Orcs that were ever made?

Yes those were the first 500 ever made. That stamp will be gone by next week and a new stamp will be released. The stamp on the first 500 will never be repeated on the SB Orcs again.

The simplicity of the stamp is sweet. Way to pull that one off! I threw mine last night, very nice.

If you didn't get your certificates, send me a PM with your info and I will correct it. ;)

Did you not get one? Or is this just a question? The bottom of the certificate should be cut off and filled out and mailed to Innova to be entered into their CFR Monthly drawings. So the stamp change would identify them but might cut you short if you are a "lucky guy" :) as far as the drawings go...

So how did it fly for you? Were you at a course that you could let it go on?

(dweller: off topic but what do you normally shoot at Wilson? I just scored a 57- 28 on front 9 &amp; 29 on back 9. Beat my best game ever there by 3 strokes and was 7 less than my avg. I feel I may be ready to play in a best shot game :) )

So I got back from NY states and The SB orcs were waiting for me.

Haven't thrown them yet, but.....
They feel exactly like the 2 Nightshift Orcs i have.. a little softer, but the plastic feels identical..

I wonder if they will get more grippy when dirty like the Nightshifts..

Normally I shoot between 9 and 11 under, there. I can get 8 of the back 9 easily. I can get 18 one out of every 10-15 tries at it. It just comes down to getting the needed 4 or 5 on the front 9. I have birdied every hole out there at some point, just cant get them all in one round......lol.

Best shot Rum Village Monday night 5pm - youll be paired up with a local pro (A pool, B pool). Cost is $5 with $1 going to the ace fund. By the way the ace fund is almost $300. If you or your partner hit it, you split it. We put the baskets back in the long positions today while we played our 1pm best shot.

Tuesday night best shot is 5pm at Wilson. Its run the same way as what I run at Rum on Mondays.

I threw mine over the weekend. I threw the 174 Blue that I got and hung the other 2.

It flew great. Stable just like I knew it would be and real grippy. One of the throws happened to be into a fenced in area we normally avoid. I was a little upset when I errantly released the disc when I seen where it was going....."oh no, the first thing this disc is gonna hit is gonna be a fence and not a tree..."

Not a scratch! Amazing! Love it! If Dave from Innova isnt pulling our legs on these SB's, Im drooling over the fact they are gonna release these in T-Birds!!!!!

Shipping was $5. I bought 3 of them and the shipping was $5. Im sure the shipping for 1 to Ohio, will be........$5. ;)

We charge a flat rate shipping of $5. That covers most shipments but we had several people order 10+ dics and we still only charge them the flat rate $5, even though it cost $11 to ship them their discs.

The next stamp will be here on Wed. and ready to ship on Thursday. (I hope) or its Thursday and ship Firday. They should have it up on the website and in the shopping cart later today or tonight.

Whats with the buffalo. What is it in reference to? I had excelent results with my SB orcs today. I get a more consistant release with SB plastic.

I think they are great. Flies very similar to my 1st run champion orc with a bit more stability. I also have been getting a bit more distance with it. Can't compare to the Pro b/c I just flip those over all of the time.

Placebo Effect.??? I like mine but it flies the same as a new champ orc........regardless of run, they all fly similar its just what lastic you like........now a pro/dx orc is way different than champ/sb though

That would be a good question to take to the Ask Dave thread!

From what I know from talking to Dave on the Ask Dave thread SB glow or dayglow isn't feasable at the moment.. I know that the Special Blend Teebirds will be REd, blue, White, plus another color and I think he said it might be yellow, but he made no mention of any type of neon color.
AS for glow. THere must be a reason that the discs are being made Opaque and dark and that might be why they havne't tried glow yet.

These are sweet! They feel so great and look awesome. And mine is domey like the 1st run orcs. The reason I stopped throwing my orc was because it was flat and super flippy. I can't wait to throw them. I'll let you guys know what I think about the flight after our mini tommorrow.

I only throw my SB Orc on long holes, so aces will be harder to come by. I ALMOST did get and ace though at hudson mills original #17 (300 ft. from am tees). The basket is not visible from the tee but the disc was parked on the left side behind the basket, basically directly in the flight path. It held a nice hyzer line all the way in. I'm throwing a 171 SB right now...

I agree you gotta throw this stuff it is sweet. Saving and not throwing discs might make you a few bucks down the road, but I wouldn't consider it a great investment.

The stack of SM Roc's I bought for $5 each, along with most of my older plastic was a pretty good return in investment. I agree, some plastic just isn't worth collecting.

I played my favorite 9 holer tonight...Highland Hills in Ft. Thomas KY, and threw my "MONEY" Champ Orc on #6 with just the tiniest little bit of hyzer, and it took the perfect line, and hit chains, but spit out - AGAIN. That would be the 2nd time in the past month. So, I took out my Blue SB Orc, and threw the exact shot. This time....WAY different result. It stayed on it's line, flattened out, hooked up with LOTS of spin, and stayed straight. 60 feet past the pin on an 80~% throw...

Here's the hole - (I haven't aced this one yet, but I'm reaching a zen-like state with it. It's the prettiest little hyzer with a high speed driver and a weak throw. Close your eyes and let it go.

I can't even tell you how many times I've touched metal, chains, or have had a drop-in on this hole this summer. (My first year)

So...If there's anything here besides a story, it's that the SB Orcs, for me, are providing SO much grip, it seems to me that I'm spinning them at a MUCH higher rate of speed than the Champs, which kind of slide out of my grip with a dependable little fade. It may be a technique thing, as I'm a just a novice at best. But I'm finding that I don't "fade" the SB's now, especially as it get's used a little, and I'm tossing it out a little right of where I'm expecting it to go versus a Champ Orc.

I could draw a little flight path in MS Paint if it was really needed, but I think people will get the point.

The SB plastic is sweet - I'm just sometimes getting a little confused with shots because it behaves differently than a Champ Orc, and I carry both. Actually, 3 Orcs - New 175 Champ, New SB 174 Blue, BEAT 175 pearl red "Money" 1 ace to it's credit already.

So...that's it so far. More reporting to follow....

On a high speed throw little turn in the middle
and little fade at the end is great.

The reports on the special blends have been great so far.

I like them because they now have the consistancy of an Orc with that proline grip and have found a place in my bag. The only problem is I keep having to sell the one in my bag. :confused:

I got kind of drunk last night and my bag was in my car... for some reason I thought it would be fun to start driving my SB into the side of the building from 30 ft. I was right too, it was pretty fun if I remember rightly. Didn't do a **** thing to the disc either...

Yet another benefit of the SB plastic... No Skips (or at least a much lower chance of skipping than champ plastic).

Yesterday I put a drive down near the basket, expected it to skip way past to the left. Instead it just kind of stopped in the grass and lef me with a 20 ft. putt :) I guess this could be a negative depending on the shot, but if you want a skip then don't grab an SB!

There is a very LIMITED number of the 1st stamp (first 500) and the Bison 2nd stamp (second 500) and a stack or 2 of the Scissor tail stamp (2nd 1000). These stamps and discs are the TRUE first run Star Plastic (they didn't know it was star plastic yet :D) so they will be highly collectable down the road. Judging by how many folks have thrown them I think the value will be higher down the road.

i have some Tulsa SB Orcs that have the star stamp (not the ministar but the star that is on the new Star plastic). are they a 4th run or something?

on the upper left face there is a Star a little smaller than a dime and it says (to the right and below the star):

On the bottom right face it says TULSA DISC GOLF over the Innova Logo (instead of INNOVA). inside the Logo swoosh it says in fine print: "limited edition special blend orc"

Those are some that Innova did for the east and west coast sales. I'm not sure how many there were but I think that a total of 2006 were all that was produced across all stamps.

The ones i have seen came from Innova East.

I had a red one with the tulsa stamp, exactly like the small Innova stamp. Innova was no were on the top of the disc. I loved it, till it turned right and splashed into Lake Lewisville.

I have another if you want. :D

I would like to have another one. Two would be better.
