Ive looked at every vendor site I know of and they all have the earlier model. The new one has quad drink holders (2 32 ozers on EACH side) not just 2 one one side like shown. Anybody have any pics? I'm thinking I'll have 32oz of water on each side to balance the bag and use the extras for cell phone, BEER, towel, reef runners, whatever... I challenge anybody to find a pic at a vendors website (even innova has old pic!)
I have the newest Tour Bag. It is quite nice. Give me a day to setup a new picture trail account and I will post a picture of it.
Give me 1 hour, my pics will be up. Need to charge the camera battery
[I'm a potty-mouth!]. I seem to be having trouble with my picture software on my computer. I have the pics in my album, but they are not showing up on picture trail. I will figure this out.

Wow! Great pics, Bob! Thanks for posting them. I noticed your not using the dividers and there looks like only about 14-15 discs. Have you tried to fit 18 discs with the dividers? Hope its not to tight a fit. Im going to convert one or 2 of the drink holers to hold towels, cell phone, UV light, xtra minis, ect,.. I hope they cinch up tight. I'm worried that the drink holders, when full, would make the side zipper pockets sag open. I'm hoping to fit at least 18 with dividers (not to tight) in the main and 4 in each side pocket with the zippers always open. What do you like/dislike about your bag?

Hey Roc if you are going with 18 you got a lot of discs to cut out of your bag..... :D
Looks alot like the revolution bag
My god that's a big bag. I don't see how you people lug them around. After 36 holes I'd need to see a chiropractor. :D
On a side note: I've often said "disc golf bags are for suckers"
Well, I guess I'm one now as I bought a Innova Standard bag.
Looks like it will suit me well. I'll just have to be careful with it.
The only bad reviews I've read is where they try to overstuff it & start ripping it.
For $25 shipped I couldn't pass. Plus it's that cool "diamond red" color.
(is the bag pictured diamond red? if so I'm really happy)

I have a Standard Bag I keep around filled with discs for beginners to use. I took the accordian holder out and use the velcro dividers, which I really like. I haven't had any problems with it.
I like the accordian dividers; the locals here claim that they keep the stamps from being scratched off. I figure I've got bigger worries, like trees.
When I got my Revolution bag, I thought I would miss the dividers, but the frame is great. As long as I retain my order, I can reach for a disc without having to flip through them.
That bag does resemble the Revolution bag. I'm not sure if 4 drink holders are necessary; I definately like having 2. Four 32 ounce drinks.... That adds 8 pounds I believe.
Most that have it say they are using them for storage. If that was the case wouldn't a compartment like is on the Deluxe bag be more useful?
Also, what is the price of the bag? If it is significantly cheaper than Revolution, it may be a good buy.

With the dividers you cant really fit 18 discs in the the bag. The bad thing is, some of the slots are tighter than others, they aren't identical to one another. Without the dividers, you can fit 18 comfortably. My dislikes about the bag is the weight, it is heavy material. The thing I liike about it is even though I only carry about 11 discs, it will carry all my other stuff also, water, towels, snacks etc.

I think you can pick these up for around 55.00-65.00 dollars. I am not sure the price though, this one was given to me by Innova.

Every Innova bag that I won, or bought-broke in less than a month. I carry 8-9 discs max! They just don't make good bags. Gateway, Discraft, and Revolution bags are by far the most durable and worth the cost.

OK, new photos are up on the Innova tour bag (http://www.innovadiscs.com/bags/tour.html) page now. Click on the photo for a larger version.
if you decide on this bag, you will not be mad. This is a great bag for the money, and is a lot more durable than the other Innova Tour Bags. Innova also makes some great smaller bags also you might want to look into.
For that price, it is a good alternative for those that cannot afford Revolution bags. We've commented about its similar appearance, but what about construction? Is it made tough like Revolution? The compartments and design are great, but will it start to rip after a few months?

i am interested in the durabilty of this bag. every innova bag i have owned (3) have all ripped or shredded with in a few months. i know i play more than most out there, but with all the bags that i own, i make sure to rotate them so i can try to make em all last.
the best bag i own, currently in retirement, is a bag that was made by some company from colorado. they made it, sent it to discraft to see if they liked it. discraft was not interested. maybe because it is bright pink. somehow it ended up in my posession. it must be 10 years old, maybe more. the bag is still like brand new. even though in retirement, i used it every day for a couple of years.
i am always lookin for a new bag to throw into the rotation.
they make good shoulder straps! :Dthe revolution single strap is strait booty, and a rip off if u ask me.

Good questions. It seems like the bag is more durable than the previous Tour Bag they had out, and it really doesn't look to much like a Revolution Bag. It still loooks like the original Tour Bag. In my opinion, the Revolution is the best looking bag out there, I just cant spend 100.00 or more on a bag right now. Hopefully this bag holds up better than my last one, I will keep everyone posted.

Hazard(on here), had one of these bags and it started to rip apart on the side pockets recently(he only had the bag for maybe 3 months).
He then ordered a gateway bag.

That was a main problem with the original tour bag. I am trying to put the new one through some rough conditions to see if it will hold up.
Oh no!
I just bought one! Where did it rip exactly? Please tell me so I can watch out for it (a stitch in time saves 9). Ive heard of the old ones having problems (with the last years model ripping at the quad shock mounts). That model had a mesh sided putter pocket so you could see more of the putter in the putter pocket. When you say side pockets, is it one of the multi-pourpose pockets? Whats happening to it? Ive seen old bags rip right where the strap mount is (when they were attatched to the side pockets). Does it effect the functionality? Thanks!
yeah, I got the origional bag and quads for my brithday....3 months later 30 percent of the seams were ripped, none of the strap points were still attached...and one of the zippers broke. Since i have gotten a 3 yr old gateway pro bag and use the same strap. The gateway bag though 12 times older is still holding up well so i will continue to use it until i find another bag that is made right, or i can get this pile of fabric replaced.
Not to dis Innova. But, construction is important. The reason why Revolution lasts longer is their cordura construction and vinyl bottom. Innova bags are not as bad as we make them out to be, but when snagging cactus or laying it on thorny brush, the material will rip. The fact that we have a tendency to push capacity doesn't help; this is why they tear where the strap attaches. As far as the zippers, I never had a problem with them. But, I know others have.
Discraft seems better; my bag got stolen. It was still going strong after a year and a half. Not sure, why I went with Innova after that. I think I liked the idea of the dividers.
I'm sure for recreational play (once a week or so), any bag will do. But, this summer, for example, i played daily, sometimes twice a day. For that kind of use, strong construction is a must if you expect it to last.

I've never had over 18 discs in my bag at once...actually only about 14 fit nicely into the othrt bag i have now so thats not an issue. The strap points broke from daily use over 3 months, and i usually don't carry anything other than a waterbottle in my bag....i dont even have a towell :( The innov bag really is huge though,.....its for the person that carries 13 driver molds and 6 mids and a couple of putters....yes, its huge.
Yeah, but i like to carry alot of beverages and 25-30 discs (I like to throw multiples of the same disc off the same pad/spot for practice. (The 9 dollar duffle i bought is still holding up!) If Innova didnt strengthen the strap area accordingly these bags will blow up fast! (4 32oz's AND 30 discs is what they designed and advertized. Good thing they stand behind thier stuff! I will post a thread after ive used it a few times and as time goes buy....... So far, it looks like a great solution for people like me who like to get a workout (great excuse for the spouse, buy the way!). Also, the bag will only be at max capacity at the beginning of the round (before drinking). From what I'm hearing its 1200 X 1200 material is about as heavy duty as it gets! Now All I need to do is find a local store that sells 32oz Q's O' beer in plastic bottles...
We do carry more discs than necessary. I have 3 discs that do exactly the same thing (or very close to it): wildcat, z xpress, and viking.
I really should remove 2, but I haven't decided which I prefer yet.

i will ask him(hazard) tonight or tomorrow and see where his bag ripped.
The thing is, we can't figure out why it ripped. I want to think it was something to do with the quads, but I dunno.
Cool,
Does he have the one with 4 cupholders or 2 on the one side. I have a feeling that they could be the same construction otherwise. I hope he has the older one with the mesh putter pocket as those were known to have trouble in the quad shock area (the secondary straps failed). Thanks!
Here is a close up of the new mounting points for the Quad Shocks on the newest Innova Tour bag. The circles show the where the rear straps on the Qads go.

Is the back padded? Also, are the bottom of the drink holders enclosed?
I was thinking about what someone said: rotating bags, kinda like I try to do with shoes.
I'm not sure if I have to do so with my revolution bag. It seems like it would be a pain switching all the stuff I carry: (first aid kit, sunblock, bug repellent, etc) The only way I remember to put on sunblock is by starting to burn, so keeping it in the bag is a life saver.

The back is not padded but I keep my extra towel in the pocket back there so it feels like it is padded. The water bottle holders all have a hole in the bottom to allow them to drain when the bottles start to sweat.

I can't imagine a bag being much bigger than the PDGA bag (except the biggest Gateway bag). I can put 19 discs (15 + two in putter pouch, and 2 in side pouch) in it WITHOUT the divider and WITH a PVC frame that I built. It's 3/4 inch on both sides that takes away 2-3 drivers' worth of space, but it seems to add to the durability of the bag and keeps the discs in a neat horizontal stack. Plus the way the main compartment is with the top, I don't think the two outside discs would be very easy to get out anyway (if that makes sense).
I'd be interested in the Innova bag since it holds 2 more drinks. I don't think I'd carry 4, but I know I run out with 2 many times. If a bag could carry the 64-oz Gatorade, that'd be awesome. I learned the hard way that I don't carry enough water even with the two PDGA holders. If I got this bag, I'd carry three 32-oz Gatorade bottles--one cold, one half-ice and cold, and one completely ice. And that's PER round. That's the only way to stay hydrated next to having jugs on every hole.
I hope I see someone with this bag in the near future to see exactly how big it is and how it'd hold up. You just can't tell until you compare it side by side and throw in all your personal discs and shiznit.
I can fit 13 easily in the main pocket of my lightning bag with a pvc frame, plus 2 in the putter pocket and 2 or 3 in each of the side pockets, plus there's another velcro putter pocket that I never use. However, I wish I could carry more water on the course with me.
I was told that once you start to feel the effects of dehydration (fatigue, headache (not to mention big thirst) its too late to slam water and expect to be back to your best for that day. Alcohol is a natural dehydrater too. So I'm gonna load up water on one side and beer on the other and let em duke it out as I play.
The more I think about it, the more I like the four drink holders. 2 32 ouncers keeps me going for about 18 holes of disc, any more requires more liquid.
This weekend I played 27 holes, and 64 ounces wasn't enough.
For 18, I carried a tall boy of beer, and 2 32 ounces of poweraide.
Btw, what bottles/drinks fits best in the Revolution drink holders? I know the Power Aid container fits well, but I am yet to find a bottle of water that fits.
What an excellent question. I was just thinking the same about this bag. Also, i want to convers one of the holders for storage and Bob says thier is a hole (hopefully small) for drainage. I'm trying to think of a container to put in it (hopefully a stealth fake bottle or can)

The drainage hole at the bottom is a terrific idea !!!!!
My standard bag has a drain hole in the cup holder.
A 32 oz Gatorade/Poweraide( PA my preference) will fit tightly but what I use is a square shaped 32oz tupperware style cup thing a ma jig & it fits a bit better.
Anyways, I noticed the drainage hole right away & thought "what a great idea"
PS. I really like my standard bag, holds all the discs I need & is easy to carry.

Go buy a $7 Nalgene bottle 32oz. and water is free!

That's kinda what I was looking for, the 32 (or 48) oz nalgene bottles, but there is not a retailor near by.

I've gone through 3 Innova bags this calender year. I'm not an over-packer...15-17 disc in a 20 disc rated bag. Quadshocks, some trail mix, 2 32oz. waters (slimmed down to two 20oz'ers.), couple of minis and nothing of real weight.
If Innova wants to be #1 in disc golf and puts so much money into the materials and development of their plastic, why are they passing sub-standard accessories off to the same players? Make a bag that the zippers don't rip-out. Make a bag that the opening is big enough for the suggested ammount of discs. Make a bag that can support the weight of being lifted and set-down 100 times a day for 365 days a year and won't rip-out. Spend some money to make a quality accessory. People are buying your competitor's merch because they are tired of spending a little less than "bag X" but end up buying two or three of them every season. I'm ranting because my bag is ripped....again. :(
