Just wondering if anyone happens to have one of those neoprene "springy" shotgun slings and has tried it on a disc bag... Or just look at it and see if it looks like it would work okay.

i don't know about the shitgun slings, but my dad uses the staps off a ball golf bag he got at a yard sale. they clip on just like quads would, but the only draw back is no springy...my brother has straps that were made out of an old bookbag and made springy using strips of elastic. so i imagine you could make it work...
Several players that I know use regular golf bag straps. They work as advertised, but according to them are not as comfortable.
Some ergonomic thought has been put in to the design of quad shocks.

Instead of paying the $40 for quad shocks, would it be worth a try to buy a cheap backpack and take the straps from that and ghetto-rig your own version? I'd love the comfortablilty and application of a QS, but at a lower cost. I know I know... thats what economics is: Higher quality at a cheaper cost. :p
Sure, it would work. I used a regular backpack for years with some kind of disc dividers (I think from Innova).
The quad shocks are just more comfortable.

taht is pretty much what my brother did. cut the straps off a backpack, sew some loops at each end with some strong elastic, and attach with carabiners, you now have ghetto qhads!
