So what are the differences? I just got a Cryztal because i got a good deal and i know i can get a cheap Z Buzz any time. i know they are a bit different, but how? more overstable or understable?

More overstable. To me, falls between a new Z Wasp and a new Z Buzzz. Beats into a GREAT straight flyer (if you turn over beat Z Buzzzs).

mine is quite a bit more overstable, at least as much as a 1st run, maybe more
i was hopeing to hear that. i never bought a buzz because i was afraid of them being too understable, but i dont use my wasp as much because its a tad too over stable. Looks like this is the disc for me.
is the plastic any different durability or grip wise?
The Cryztal Buzzz I got has a ghost stamp and is domey.. It's More Overstable than 1st Run Buzzz's and Way more stable than Flat top or Domey Z-Buzzz's..
I'm hoping it will lose a little of it's stability, but I don't use it that much so i won't know. Definately as stable as my Z-wasp, but havne't tried it in too much wind yet.

well im good at beating in my discs, i play in the woods every day if i can, so i try to stay away from 'out of the box' understable discs. hey, if i dont like it ill give it away, no biggie. i just like trying things so i know what they are like for future reference.
i throw a first run MRV now for most drives and all straight aproach shots, and i love it, but its more of a finnese disc, and i was looking for a midrange thats straight, but was overstable enough for me to really throw.
I throw both discs a lot. (1st run Z Buzzz and CryZtal Buzzz)
The only thing that is similar is the name.
The CryZal Buzzz is an overstable disc. I'd give it a rating of 1.5. As people have said before, it is slightly less overstable than a Z Wasp and Quite a bit more stable than my 1st run Z Buzzz. It will hold a line into a 20 mph headwind with minimal turnover when thrown with hyzer.
The 1st run Z Buzzz isn't nearly as oversatble and a totally different disc. It will hold its line into a headwind with a lot of hyzer on it. But the great thing about these is that they will hold almost any line you can put on them.
Pull out the CryZtal when you need a good hyzer or its windy.
Pull out the 1st run Z for everything else.
What would the fly dyes be? I know they were clear at one time, but I'm not sure it that's the pearly white I saw someone refer to.

The perly white is the early run. Most of the true first run flat top white/clear buzzzs were pearly from what I saw. The later clear runs got fly dyed and the 1 I have (and am selling to raise funds for a charity tourney I'm doing) is flat top and says wasp inside the rim. If you can hold the disc before you buy it, look at the profile, the flat top ones are the ones that fly like butter.
.
I just recieved mine today. How do i know its a cryztal? does it say it somewhere on the disc?
it has the same look and feel of my Z wasp. i thought the plastic was a bit different?

Mine says Crystal Buzzz on it (both do actually) at the top, and a weight range on the bottom rather than a specific weight. They are VERY VERY clear plastic. 'Crystal' clear almost.
hmmmm. maybe i missed something.... let me go check...
Edit:
well it dosent say Cryztal anywhere. Its specifically a 178g. it looks very clear (orangey red), but i compared it side by side with my newer Champion TB, and it dosent look special to me.
now i feel like an [I'm a potty-mouth!]. i figured the difference was not recognisable by picture so i went by description. he claims it is a cryztal, i sure hope i didnt get cheated. although either way i dont mind. i just dont like being lied to. especially when money is involved...
I've got a flat topped tye dyed zbuzzz, with wasp written on the inner rim, and I can never seem to throw it straight except at high speeds. But even then when it slows down it will cut hard left. Maybe it's not broken in enough or something

If its 178 then its probably not. I could be wrong but I think most are around 175g.

In a trade.
I still doubt thats its a cryztal since it dosent say it on the disc. It is a fundraiser disc if that means anything.....

Jared, all of the ones I've seen are like this. They have "Discraft" at the top and "Cryztal Buzzz" at the bottom in faint white lettering.

I believe the crystal say crystal; are there any Discraft sponsored players or reps that know for sure?
What is the difference between the crystal and regular z plastic?

The picture's a little small but it's definitely Cryztal, E. :)
I found a better picture so I updated my post too.
ive seen some colored ones, but they all say cryztal.. lookes like i got duped.
ill put a link to the item i bough on ebay here. tell me if its work complaining about. the picture clearly shoes a normal disc, but i figured the difference was not noticible form a picture. let me just go find the link...
Edit:
"cryztal" Z Buzzz (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=7180630750&ru=http%3A% 2F%2Fsearch.ebay.com%3A80%2Fsearch%2Fsearch.dll%3F from%3DR40%26satitle%3D7180630750%2509%26fvi%3D1)

Check inside the rim and see if it says wasp or buzzz. If it says wasp, it's not THAT bad of a deal as it's likely a flat top buzzz which are highly saught after. Most of the hotstamped buzzzen I've seen were Flat Top.

That is not a Crystal. Just regular.
Oh it says BUZZZ, and im kinda annoyed. i like how it throws, but that not the point.
would it be stupid to copmplain to him that it was listed as a Cryztal and it was only a Z? i mean, the picture shows that its not a cryztal, but for someone like me who dosent know the difference in apearence, thats just wrong.

If you like the way it flys, $14.50 is not a bad price on a predictable midrange. The Crystal Buzzzen (sounds better than buzzzs) don't fly like the Z-Buzzzen.
well, its not perfect, i still ocasionally flip it, and i feel like a Cryztal would be perfect, because this one will only wear in more.
either way, i sent the guy a somewhat angry email earler, and he explained that it was a big misunderstanding, offered to refund it 100%, and left me feeling bad. i emalied him back telling him whats done is done, and i left him positive feedback.
im kinda upset i didnt get what i wanted, but eh, who cares. its a few bucks different than the buzz i would have bought here. what would i do with the extra 4$ anyways.
I Would take up his offer for the 100% money back and Get a Cryztal Buzzz.. Although you feel bad he Still was wrong for the false advertisement. He might have also made a mistake, but that's his problem to correct and shouldn't put you at a loss.
The Cryztal Buzzz is more stable than the 1st runs and the newer runs.
It all depends on if you want to go through all of this just to get a real cryztal buzzz. I actually like the regular buzzz's better(OR at least the ones that are Flat top and Especiallly FIRST RUN which are by far the best).
If this one says "wasp" ON the bottom and Looks very flat top(NO DOME at all) and the weight is near MAX I would trade you for the Cryztal Buzzz i have. I don' tlike the Cryztal that much and am looking for another Flat top Z..
-Scott Lewis
"Gee, I've got 4 dollars, I think I'll throw it in the street."
(props to anybody who can guess where that (loose) quote came from) By "props", I don't mean like, a fake arrow-through-the-head or anything.
the guy is really nice and still wants to throw me some money to make up the difference. I told him to be sure he knows what he is advertising because if i wasnt a nice guy he could have been in trouble. it was an honest mistake, he is refunding me money, and all is well.
the buzz i have is a flat top, but it dosent say WASP on the rim...
I found my Cryztal Buzzz in the Wisconsin river. It was stamped from a tourney that was the week before. Not a scratch on it either... sweet!
Anyway, it performs more consistantly then my roc, but I have not thrown any other buzzz to comapre it with. Mine flies like a new dx roc. I think mine is 173-178 stamped, why did they put the range on them instead of just the wieght?
