Where is the Cobra in this list? I have one that is perfectly straight for 150- 200 feet. For me it can't be beat as a mid. My question is why do some say Driver on them and some say Multi? Innova lists them only as multi, but the one I bought says driver. They are built exactly the same, at least to my untrained eye. Anyone know anything about this?

An S Element is flat and similar to a D Buzz. But some of the E Elements are domey and like a Z-Comet. Very good discs.

ALma Willie...
The stamps on the Discs that say Driver are outdated..
WHen the Disc was originally made it was considered a "driver", but now is considered a multi-purpose disc or "midrange" because of all the Distance and HIghspeed distance drivers... THey use the original stamp just like they use the original mold becuase it's probably cheaper and people are used to them.
Aviars still say they are from San Marino, but they are made in Rancho :)

P.s. From Throwing the E Element-x and knowing the ratings of the Element i'd say thta the Buzzz is a little more stable than the Element or at least the 1st run and flat top Z-buzzzs.. the domey ones suck.

Isn't the glide more of a old tech driver than a midrange though? I have always felt the glide to be the red headed step child of an XL and a Breeze.

I just started throwing Elements again at my last tournament, and I re-fell in love! The fly like a broken in ZBuzzz (As a reference) and will hold most anyline given! I love these things!

No Spider? Jeeezzzz, what are you guys afraid of spiders or something? Am I the only person who uses this? Besides Korver I think uses one.

hate to make you feel bad NiceUP, but as of Innova's latest update on Julianna's bag, She's no longer carrying any Spiders. she switched to champ panthers.
SO that does make you the only perosn throwing spiders :)

I used to like them and could throw the crap out of them. I was throwing them over 350 and dead straight.. I gave up on them and when I got my first run Buzzz's I switched to them completely.

no doubt.
I used to carry 4 rocs
2 CE
1 KC
1 DX

Now I carry 2 z-buzz's (i dont like the 3rd z) and they do anything any of those 4 rocs used to do.

Everyone is different when it comes to discs. My personal favorite all time mid is the roc, and also the champion shark. But the roc I could always throw dead straight and well over 400 feet. I have thrown the Buzz, coyote, wasp, hawk, cobra, dx shark, and many others, they are all good discs. The roc has always just been my go-to discs.

I forgot to add, any one midrange isn't better than the others, it depends on how well it feels to you and how you throw it. In the end thats what matters.

I'll agree that midrange discs are the best. ;)

I throw E Elements and S Element-Xs mostly because they feel the best in my hand. Granted I haven't tried all that many midrange discs, but I have tried Rocs and MRVs and while I did want to really like them, they just didn't feel right.

Now that my midrange game has been improving I've been meaning to try out all the different discs for the fun of it.

No vote, since you didn't include my favorite, the Classic Roc.

Likes the Ching-mold DX-Roc (Flat-top) and the CE Spider for straight and stable shots, the beaten-in DX Roc for anny-mid-range

Sep 06 2005, 01:34 PM
See you guys, somebody does use the spider! I actually use it for a putter, but thats just my thing. :p

The element is a great disc.

What is a good weight and plastic for the element?
Do you know anything about the sabre?

I throw max weight (182g) Elements. The Sabre is a great fairway driver on shots that are too short for anything fast, but too long for the Element...they compliment each other very well.
