Two tournaments in a row now I find myself in need of a rule book. I don't have one, no one on my card had one, and very few players that I know have one. As a matter of fact the only place that I know where to get one is online for $3. I have never seen one at a retail shop, never seen one available in a pick your own payout, or anywhere else period.
So I ask the question, why do we not recieve a current rule book when we renew our membership dues every year?

TDs receive several rulebooks in their tournament kits. If you know any TDs in your area, they likely have extras they might give you.

At the last B tier I was at in Boyne City Michigan, not only did the TD have extra rule books available, he made sure in each round that every card had 1 or 2 and offered them to anyone that wanted them while registering. I took the time to point out the rules ,to one person who was new to tournament play, that are often argued about or not called. Stance Violations was the biggest one and this was the first time he found out about it. It was nice that in situations where he was unsure what he could do, he took the time to ask or consult his NEW rule book.

YOU DO GET ONE that is current when you join the pdga........you ONLY get a NEW ONE when they make "major" changes to the rules(as in 2006...supposedly)
last major revision was in 2002,although there have been several"major to me" rules revisions,"policies",revisions to the "policies",revisions to the revisions, and several "minor" rules changes which are available online,or a printed addendum page that you could add to your rules book....call the pdga for a copy or try to find it online....
hope this helps
