I bought two 2005 Master's CFR Starfires. One is 161gm and one is 170.
The disc at 170 is noticeably more domey than the other. And naturally, the 161 is flatter.
I guess a more appropriate question would be, is the reason the Pro Starfires seem to fly better than the CFR's because of their "domeyness"? Or am I way off?
Thanks.

What do you mean by "fly better?"
What do you mean by "fly better?"
Are you serious?

The pro starfire is the L version.the CFR comes in both the L version and the x version.Obviosly the CFR L will fly similar to the Pro starfire L

Better is relative to what YOU are saying. Nobody knows if by better you mean straighter, farther, turns over or what. Maybe you could be more specific.
Are they the same mold and stamp and everything? Maybe the heavier ones dome up when cooling or something.

Better would mean farther, straighter, etc.
I ask because I've heard that the CFR's are much more over stable than the Pro's. I'm just hoping that the Champ plastic will glide as well as the Pro.
Now, does the glide from the Pro Starfire come from its "domeyness" or its type of plastic? Or a combination thereof?
Both discs are Starflre L's, for what it's worth.

I throw pro Starfires and a Glow CFR SX... They are basically completely different discs. I wouldnt say either one is better than the other by any means. I use them for completely different things. Pro for downwind drives, SX for headwinds. The SX flies like a faster and slightly more overstable Champ Teebird for me. Dead straight with a hard left finish. The thing is a beast in headwinds. Pro is way flippier but definitely longer with tailwind or no wind.

I'm glad we cleared that up.

I agree with the above statement, I throw both of those and a CFR SL. The CFR SL is closer to the Pro than the SX, but it is more overstable and not quite as far because of the plastic characteristics. I am hoping the CRF SL will wear into being close to the Pro. Right now the Pro is great for long straight throws and long straight forehand rollers! YMMV, but I hope this helps.

Thanks, guys. That's exactly what I was looking for.
